Most satisfying sound effects in gaming

Recently/off the top of my head:

-The scope zoom in for MGS: GZ
-The crossbow reload noise in Half-Life 2
-The kill chirp in Killzone

Gears of War the thread for me. The retro lancer has a nice thundering sound to it when you feather it. Sounds great.

Also the headpop is so satisfying. We only call them headpops in gears and headshots in everything else.

Edit: The torque bow stick is great too and the neck snap from a meat shield too. There's so many great sounds.

Also I think Battlefield's sound effects are above a lot of fps's. The snipers have a great crack to them, the jets roar, and the tanks thunder. The gun sounds have weight to them. I definitely found that missing when I played Titanfall, everything was so weak sounding, even the shotgun.

Electric Wind God Fist landing:

Counter Breaker call in KI.

If that doesnt count as a sound effect then Ill go with a fully leveled up Striker head shot in RE4.

I like the "PING" noise that happened when causing damage in old NES Konami games like Contra. Something about it felt so satisfying. Especially with that laser weapon which delivered pings at a startling rate and killing anything super quick.

Gears of War headshot is the king, but
Doom and Wolfenstein enemy death noises
Warcraft 3 Blademaster wind walk sound
Resident Evil 4 headshot
And any game with a M1 Garand in it.

- The ring sound effect from the Sonic Series
- The 1-Up jingle from the Mario Series
- The crate smashing sounds from the Crash Bandicoot series
- Smashing Boxes and Collecting Bolts in the Ratchet and Clank Series
- The gem sound effect from the Spyro series

Man, there are so many satisfying sounds in gaming :)...
