that beach landing concept art would make a pretty cool opening/intro level.
Given what we know about the game's setting so far, it would tie in with the Lunatics and the MotorStorm festival moving from PR's island to the West Coast. :D

It is an opening level, we were told that at the reveal event a week or so back. I think it's a playable prologue.

:D

First thing I noticed too.
Yeah. It may just be an early concept or something, but doesn't that clash a bit having real cars in the Motorstorm universe? Anyhow, I love those two cars, so it doesn't matter for me :)

Seriously, this game is the one I'm looking forward to the most at E3. I hope a video comes sooner rather than later. :D

Holy shit, this looks fucking AWESOME. The framerate obviously needs work, but they'll definitely fix it until release I'm sure. Move the fuck over GT5!

My most hyped game 2010.

I'm afraid the setting might rob Motorstorm of one of its biggest strengths, the sometimes breathtaking verticality in its level design. Tunnels and garages aren't nearly as impressive to me as some of the paths they've created in their previous games.
It's just one track we've seen though, but they have a lot of work ahead to convince me that this is a good step for this franchise.

I can't be the only one underwhelmed by the videos? I'm sure its early and will improve, but the cars look boxy, the textures in the landscape look poor, that collapsing building was just shit. And more importantly, the track looked bland - too wide open, where is the motorstorm jostling, the tight twisty turns, the multiple routes? And the MUD/deformation.

split/second did all of that much better IMO.

No reason why that still can't be done, it's down to their imagination to come up with something completely fucking batshit nuts.

You just replied to yourself.

It's ONE track. And the developers said in the IGN interview that every single race is different, mostly because of the permanent destruction that will dynamically change the environment throughout the chronology of the game, which spans 3 days.

Also, these guys have an habit for choosing a particularly non-significant track to demo their games.
