I think the closest I ever came to walking out of a movie was watching Eragon. What a piece of shit that was. I enjoyed the book also but the movie was beyond garbage. The only thing that stopped me was that I was with 3 buddies. As soon as the film ended one of them turned to me and said where do I go to get the past 2 hours of my life back :lol
I made the horrible mistake of going on opening night, with my best friend and his stupid bitch of a fiancee. Was my own silly fault that I subjected myself to that nonsense, knowing ahead of time that she has a low tolerance for "nerd" movies, and would almost certainly make us miserable the entire evening.evil solrac v3.0 said:

At the dinner party scene, my friend leaned over and whispered that he was going to take her home, then would return to pick me up. That's exactly what happened, and I haven't bothered to hang out with her since. What a terrible life he has in store.

I'm from Seattle and even I thought this film was ridiculous. Not really in keeping with the spirit of the movement and the struggle of that riot, which was awesome to be a witness of. (not going to pretend I was some sergeant of the revolution.)

wow, I'm actually pretty embarrassed to say this but I walked out on the first Lord of the Rings. I was with my sister and my cousin (the worst people to see a movie with, especially Lord of the Rings) and they were laughing and complaining and so we just left. I still think the first 40 minutes of that movie is boring as shit though.

Lord Of The Rings, I found it shitty. I guess I don't like the story. I'm a Peter Jackson fan, for his first movies.
Citizen Kane, I've never seen it.

I nearly walked out on 'The Core' after about 20 minutes it was so bad. But the pidgeons-go-mad-and-cause-traffic-explosions scene was so hilariously terrible I just had to stay and watch it all.
It devloved into a case of picking which order the main characters would die, and who would sacrifice their life to save the love interest. I think they remade it a few years later only with ice in new york city.

I've walked out lots of movies when I used to cut classes in high school. I would go to the the theater just to get some sleep, and whenever I felt refreshed enough, I would walk out. first one was with some Jurassic Park movie, though.

Watching this movie was one of the most surreal experiences of my life. Prior to that experience, I had never seen a movie elicit such a strong negative response from the audience. One guy just started screaming at the screen and had to be escourted out by security. People were furious at that movie and they were not in the least repose about making their opinions known. Quite the lesson on the power of cinema but for all the wrong reasons.
