Alot of them are found via Facepunchstudios.com (GMod's official forums) and Garrysmod.org (official dumping ground for maps, models, props, etc). You might have to do some searching, but the majority of the ports I've used and/or reviewed are available there in some degree.



Accidental use of High Pass filter gave me this gameboy-era type color tone. O_o
 
Could you do some sort of over-the-shoulder CS: Source shots in the style of Gears of War, preferably make it look like it's actual gameplay and not just a pose, I intend to use them for science and trolling.

Hope this works for ya, it took me a few hours to get the pose/scene staged right, then another hour in Photoshop retooling the color/tone, adding blur, bullet impact sparks (referenced from Gears), detailing, etc.

Felt compelled to do this casual pose for a friend, who's HDD's got smashed with a nasty virus (he was the one that ported the NMH stuff and the aforementioned Hitomi model). Hopefully someone here digs it as well. :D

By all means, feel free to do so. I think I have one more "actioney-horror" type shot in mind that I could pull off before I take my normal route of a fun/out of context/parody type thing.
 
Oh trust me, I wish I could. My monitor only rocks up to 1440x900, and GMod hates me trying to use effects in game (like Depth of Field) at any resolution higher than 1280x768. :(

Too bad you can't hit 1680x1050, I'd love to get these down as wallpaper without stretching it to hell and back. Good stuff nonetheless.

Borderline? I'm glad these are thumbails otherwise I would probably be doomed!

Anyway, some of these images are mindblowing, seeing the CS:Source image 'shopped like that makes me want Valve to update the game with all the fun stuff from LFD.
 
LOL, it's good to know you guys are viewing these at work instead of being productive. That tells me right there that I'm definitely onto something with these screenshots. :D

Seriously though, other than the just mentioned Jeane vs Badgirl image - is there any other requests? I've only got a few more things I'm working on (Samus high-fiving Snake, and a Rorshach/Cpt Falcon image) before I'm tapped out again.

Is it like Poser (from e frontier) except catering more towards game models? I must know where to acquire this!
 
Did you create these game models, then re-figure them in Garrys mod? These look pretty kool, but idk what exactly im looking at and how it was created,

Yes indeed, it is a damn shame actually. However, with that request image I learned that you can't have over 50% of a model's "mass" being pushed through a world object without it losing it's ability to display lighting. So it was a concession I had to make, and I hope you guys can forgive me for it. :D

btw - The "Justice Handshake" image up there was updated to include more actual "handshake" and less random special effect shenanigans.
 
Still taking requests? How about some cool setups of the Zeno Clash characters once it comes out in a few days?

Edit: Your handshake image looks a lot better now!

Maybe some Rorschach and Nite Owl situations could be cool? No clue for what the hell you could do... Just something using them two would be neat. Maybe try and recreate a panel from the GN.

1) If anything from "Zeno Clash" get's ported I'll take a look.

2) Nite Owl hasn't been ported yet to my knowledge, so for now we're flying solo with good 'ol Walter Kovacs. :D

It's been brought to my attention that all of the Bad Girl pieces are majorly lacking in the dead gimp department.

Possibly you could get on that.

(This is not a demand, but a request. Rad stuff!)

Unfortunately the rip we got of the gimp has wireframes BUILT IN to the textures. Guess the cel-shading filter actually worked out really well for that thing. :D

Secondly, yes - I am planning on doing a BadGirl vs Jeane set (one with each character having the advantage in combat), but right now Jeane hasn't had her face posing options finished up. Once that happens though, I'll be on it like crazy.

This was a test model used to see if Mario could push well past the source limit of 24k polys per model (he did, this poser model has over 40k polys), and as such I figured I could use some practice (and wanted to try out some new lighting ideas - didn't work out tooooooo great, but it worked enough, I guess).
 
Posing in Garry's Mod is not as hard as it looks as long as you remember to turn gravity to zero before you enter a map. Well, and I guess if you have a good idea how to position the camera and tweak facial expressions.

That Zoey image is comedy gold. Seriously good stuff on that one.

However, if you're using GMod ver10 (latest) then the most important console commands are pretty much:

physgun_timeToArriveRagdoll 0
This makes your physgun extremely strong (and keeps the beam from becoming weighted down), so posing is instantaneously easier.

and

phys_timescale .5
Puts everything in to a slow motion type state, making posing random limbs that much easier.

Also, turning on No-Clip mode is also extremely important and a tool in and of itself.

If that doesn't work, and the model is still being bitchy; then out comes the easy-weld tool and a soda can to fix the problem. :D
