Multi-console owners, what version of GTA V are you going with?

If past R* releases are anything to go by the 360 version should look better.

I assume it will be on multiple discs though... So if they have an option that I can install the second disc and play the entire game from one disc I´ll go with the 360 version - otherwise PS3.

PS3 as it's probably the lead version this time, just like Max Payne 3 was.
Lead version doesn't guarantee a better product. Max Payne 3 ran ever so slightly better on PS3, but that's only because of a variety of culling assets and paring back of effects.

DF gave the nod to the 360 version as the performance wasn't as hampered on Xbox as the visual make up was hampered on PS3.

PC

And if I have to wait, so be it - TLoU showed that even beautiful handcrafted games can suffer so much from bad IQ

PS3 for me, 'cause all press screenshots were frame buffer grabs featuring MLAA according to Quaz51 from Beyon3D, and all techies know this AA trick is PS3 friendly.

And if R* has chosen to show assets exclusively from PS3 hardware to promote their game, you know certainly what it means...

Ordered both.

RAGE Engine has always been better on the 360. However, they have been showing off the game on the PS3 which tells me it might be a lead console now ( More recent compiled builds ).

I want the superior version.

This exactly. I don't buy multiplats ob ps3 as 9/10 they are the lesser version. I'd love a release date for PC though.

I can call that for you right now:

THERE WILL BE A NEXT GEN PORT OF THIS GAME.

No doubt in my mind.
I don't get why everyone believes this is a sure fire thing. The vast majority of next-gen owners are current gen owners right now. Porting the game isn't going to expand the market it at all, and it's going to cost money, and it's going to lessen the impact of whatever R*'s first next gen release is.

I want the PC version because mods. I probably won't be able to be patient enough waiting for it though. If it's available for the PS4 at launch, then definitely that version.

These are all good points.

But I don't want to hear it! I want next gen GTA5 dammit!

if a PC version is not announced then PS3. My 360 disk tray sounds like a jet going off and scratches up disks a lot. Oh and my gold is set to expire around that time. Not paying again since not getting the bone.

On the other hand, there will be a PC version down the line, and they're bound to want to support the game with DLC, so if they want long term viability of the game as a platform for DLC, they need it to be on more vibrant systems.

They will port this game to either the PC or the next-gen consoles for one simple reason: They are all running x86 and porting the game to x86 means they open up for 3 new platforms, unlike just one ( PC ) before.

For the first time ever I don't feel the need to play a Grand Theft Auto game and it's weird.

Maybe it'll increase as it gets nearer release but this could be the first time I don't buy one.

I canceled my XBL account and am in the process of getting rid of my 360 now (before it was my primary console), but I admit I am hesitant to get it on PS3 given the performance gap last time IIRC. I got GTAIV on 360 and played it all the time online too, so it is a bummer. This was before I had a gaming grade PC, naturally.

I was hoping they'd have hinted at a PC version being announced shortly after the release of those games, but so far nothing :(

I have both so I guess you're interested in my answer OP. Xbox 360 has been my main console this entire generation with the PS3 'only' being there for exclusives like the brilliant The Last of Us. Sp the answer is, ofc, Xbox 360.

Even if it wasn't for that, it is a Rockstar game so I think my choice is wise. (Looking at you RDR. Tall Trees was completely fucked up on PS3 because of all the blinking shadows in the trees...)

Still think the PC announcement will be tied to a next gen announcement sometime around E3 next year.

They will want us to double dip - and we will ;)

They demoed the PS3 build to the press. So I don't think either console owner has anything to worry about. During GTA4's development they hid the PS3 all the way until launch. They've done a 180 with their development efforts there.
