I hold pencils in a strange way. I hold it with my thumb and all my fingers excluding the pinky, which results in them all being bunched up at the pencil tip.

Teachers tried correcting my technique, but I wouldn't have any of it.

On a side note, I'm thhe only one I know who is able to do this. You know in basketball when the referee calls 'travelling' and rotates his hands over one another? See video. I am able to do this but with both hands going in the opposite direction to each other.

i couldn't whistle until the age of 30 when i decided being a musician who couldn't whistle was something of an embarrassment. no shit, I practiced every day for like a year until I could hold a tune.

oh yeah this, I still can't tie a bow, apparently I refused to learn how to do it. Instead I have some hacky cheat method I came up with when I was a kid.

And it's not so much that I can't do these properly as that I...can't do them. I WILL forget your name 5 seconds after you tell me. I will remember your face, your body, your personality, your actions, what you talk about, how you talk about it...but your name? Nope.

try cracking them on a flat surface, instead of an edge of something. Also, crack a little at a time until you get used to the proper amount of pressure it takes.

Read the thread title and couldn't really think of anything but after reading the replies it seems that I can't do almost anything, I thought "me too" at too many things lol. At least I can crack an egg and tie my shoelaces properly.

Somehow, in my teen years, I lost the ability to open a straw by pressing it against something. I don't know why.
Now, it'll usually end up just bending the straw, leaving me to open it with my fingers.
