MvC2 officaly announced, PSN demo this week

The difference is that the HD Remix demo came out after the full game did, so it was less egregious in that case. Anyone who really wanted to play single-player or online with HD Remix could have just bought it right then and there, while in this case you'd have to go dig up an old version of MvC2 on another console.

Having said that, it was still fucked up when they did it with HD Remix. It's just worse now since MvC2 isn't out till summer, and it's also worse because this is the second time they're doing it.

Boo, Capcom. Boooo.

So, its a port of the Dreamcast version and doesn't support both shoulder buttons? :lol (Imagine the opposite of that face)

Okay here is my big issue when I play on Dreamcast

Glix's PSONE Arcade Sticks:

(L1) (square) (triangle) (R1)
(L2) (EXXXX) (circle) (R2)

When I use my adapters to play on the DC, L2 and R2 don't work, because they have no corresponding button on the DC controller.

I use USB adaptors to use the sticks with my PS3. They work flawlessly. If I am going to have the same issues on the PS3

a. I'm going to be pissed
b. I will only be getting the 360 version (HRAP EX!! YAY!!)

I usually double dip on these types of games, cuz I want to be able to play ALL of my friends...
 
Really? You can't give us online? Really? Not even a short single player? Good thing I have two controllers.

That said, the graphics look good on crisp. Original just looks horrible now. When's the official release date?
 
I already own 3 versions of this game so the 2 player thing doesn't bother me. I just wanted to see the 16:9 and look for graphical glitches / slowdown. Only one glitch I saw with the black bar on the left side after a high jump on the river stage while in 16:9. Good demo.

and considering the shitty demo, the wait just feels much longer. sooo wanted some online play.
 
I've only played the Xbox version, but judging from the demo the game is already a HUGE upgrade from that version; the Crisp filter makes the sprites absolutely gorgeous.

How can you people not have a second controller on the PS3?! The system is freakin' backwards compatible with old accessories. Spend $5 and go get one :P

All the controllers in the world won't change the fact that I would have to call someone up and ask them to drive over to my apartment so we can play a demo for ten minutes.

Instead I just deleted it. I can only be expected to put up with so much bullshit.
 
Loved the demo for the most part, just how the hell do I counter someone who just jumps up in the air with Chun-Li and then has their partners come in for half a second and attack... Such a cheesy way to win, and I don't know how to counter :( Haven't played a fighting game since VF4 :lol Also using PS3 controller sucked, but whatever.
 
I keep getting errors when I try to install it. I even did the download+install via staying in playstation store. It's also downloading very slow.
 
Even though I haven't played the Dreamcast version in ages, It definitely looks a lot better than I thought it would. That being said, playing the demo was enough MvC for me.
 
Meh. No Dr. Doom or CPU in the demo makes it uninteresting as shit. Btw, this isn't up in European stores right? So are we gonna be in the same situation we were with HDR? :|
 
Stinking (80029564) install error. I downloaded it 5 times now, same thing. Looked it up on google and a fix was to not background download but I tried that one. Guess i'll try that again now that it's time for the NBC shows. I want to play this!

not sure about the Euro store, but it's not worth d/ling. a waste of your precious bandwidth.
 
+The game looks great in crisp mode on my 1080p monitor. I'm impressed!
- Got SLOWDOWN when cancelling from one character's super into another. WTF?
+ 16:9 mode, yeah!
- The background isn't fully widescreen and you can see where it "ends" at the edge of the stages. Sloppy.
- The sound quality could be better. The voices sound muffled.
- Having the online multiplayer options highlighted like they're available is such a tease.

Without online play, this is pretty much a useless demo to me (I can just play the DC version if I want to play MvC2), but it's good to see that it looks nice upscaled.

I downloaded it through my highly illegal american account. And yes, it's not worth the ten minutes of attention I spared it.

Didn't really mess around with it, are there any noticeable flaws found yet? Like new slow-down or whatever?

i didnt see any slowdown even when i used the supers. but i think i'll wait and see with the final game with more characters. i remember that BB Hood's super had slowdown, right? that will be a good character to test out.

I don't know if this has been mention yet but they screw up big time on one thing I loved about MvC2. The Intro! The main reason why the intro was so good was because it showed all the characters. Look at the intro on the DC version compared to the demo.

This is what got me. They leave the MP portion selectable and let you even select the MP with friend or PSN match. But it takes you to a shit on your neck screen telling you to upgrade to the full version that is not there!
