My explanation on how Dead Rising 3 is a beautiful open world Next Gen Launch Title

I call this phenomena "launch title fever" in which early adopters create elaborate constructs in order to convince themselves that mediocre launch titles are more than just that. Perfect Dark Zero is the classic example.

No sir. Just no..... Perfect Dark Zero is in totally different leagues then this game. Take it back :P

What exactly has of unfamiliar the xbone compared to 360? I think it's just worst designed, no more.
You can't be serious, right? The Xbox 360 and Xbox One are completely different from each other. The only thing they have in common is that they both have an extra memory pool outside of the main memory pool. And even that extra memory is completely different.

I know, I was just teasing, using a poorly structured sentence of my own.

I'm not referring to you in particular but sometime It's really exhausting justify because I'm not english. I don't think what I have wrote it's completely alien, but maybe it's time to start to ignore this kind of comment.

I played PDZ after launch and I enjoyed it. :0

OP's mistake was mentioning TLOU. That's going to make it rather difficult to have any kind of meaningful discussion.

Tried the demo out. Looked like a launch 360 game. It was fun running over all the zombies and what not but not worth $60. Maybe $15.
You and I remember the 360 launch games completely different.
Please show me a 360 game that pulls of those graphics with that many zombies on screen?

Dead Rising 3 is legitimately a good game, as a big fan of the series.

That said, it is easily the ugliest of the next gen games I've seen. Has glimpses of beauty in the lighting and sheer amount of stuff on screen but there is texture pop in and frame drops and it's a jaggy game.

I'm interested to know in what exactly. I know ed ram & es ram are almost the same thing but the last is an evolution of the other. xbone use ddr3 over gddr3 & worst cpu, not unified ram (if I'm not wrong) & limited unified shaders compared to the ps4. From what I see, there is nothing of exoteric to extrapolate from the x1, it needs just to avoid the numberless bottlenecks.

Maybe I have low standards and I may not be clear but I just want to say that Dead Rising 3 as an open world launch title is a pretty game.

And I quite don't see the difference at all. TLOU may have better art style.

If you guys say it is not better or same than TLOU, then what game can I compare it on?

Also, is it possible for a side by side comparison on both games gameplay wise?

Before I forget, I just want to remind you that I have no malicious intent on making this topic. I just want to have a discussion and I am grateful for answering me.

What has the PS4 to do with this? If you want to turn this into a hardware comparison between the PS4 and the Xbox One I'll say goodbye to you sir, as it's the most redundant and boring conversation we can have.

Except that DR3 is actually a great game, habing a shitload of fun with it, easily the best the series offered so far

It's you who have said x1 is completely different hardware to 360. I have just point out it's not true in my opinion compared to x360/ps4. I'll be waiting what you mean for completely different exactly. If you care, of course.

OP, I support the idea behind this thread, but by comparing the character models to TLOU you only invited people to shit on this game. It's hard enough to say anything positive about the XB1 now, and you certainly don't need to bring in comparisons to a GOTY favorite to make it that much more difficult.

Now you're just making it funny. The Xbox One and Ps4 have more in common with each other than the Xbox 360 and Xbox One have.
The only thing the 360 and One have in common is their memory set-up (One big pool combined with a smaller pool of fast memory)

In terms of stuff going on DR3 is really impressive but the pop-in and jaggies are enough for me to say it's ok looking with some good looking bits.
Still my favorite launch title.

I also want to add this just in case some will question me.

From April to July, I was focused on obtaining plat NG 3 and RE which I did and from July to late Aug, I was focusing on Dark Souls, then on Sept Diablo 3 on 360 and GTA V till Nov.

I played TLOU at my friends house and I loved it at first site but did not buy the game because I will have a huge backlog. I am doing a MGR platinum run.

Fixed.
This might have won the thread.

Comparing DR3 to TLOU is hilarious. Its a solid launch game but I don't see how anyone could say the facial animations are similar. TLOU facial animations are some of the best I've ever seen in a game while DR3 are good but not necessarily that much better than anything I've seen on the ps3/360.
