My Frustration with Sony is growing

If you sent in "8" consoles you would have e-mails with case numbers for each one considering they send those e-mails out instantly. I've even had them send me multiple e-mails for the same case.

Yep.

Need to see more "proof" of this account. Seems highly, highly unlikely for 8 PS4's within one year. Even if that were the case, chances are there is something wrong on your end.

Maybe your PS4 deleted your emails. Do you wake up some mornings with a feeing that your PS4 has been watching you sleep?

Is this your ten year old?

I don't know if this will help but for me the PS4's eject button is highly electrically sensitive to any environmental current which can make it wacky. Put the PS4 on a rubber mat and see if that helps.

As everyone else has said, I would consult an electrician because something is seriously wrong with your electrical setup.

Furthermore, have you ever considered buying a surge protector?

One thing I do know in your defence, is that the PS4 seems to hold some kind of charge even when not plugged in. I move my consoles around alot and I cant tell you the amount of times ive picked up an unplugged PS4 and it turned on when my finger grazes the power or eject button. Freaks the hell out of me, but no lasting damage so far. *knocks wood*

Well I, I hate to accuse anyone but after 8 consoles (so far out past the norm for failures it's unbelievable) that the issue must be the sole common demoniator..... you!

Not sure how it's Sony's problem.

And your 10 year conveniently deleted all your emails.

Bad smell coming from in here.

Yes I am. I don't drink or go out much. Gaming is my hobby, it's what I do. Checking my electrical is the most brought up possibility in this thread so I going to move forward with that.

Good. That is is great first step. Find a reputable electrician and hopefully he will find the problem.

I work as a Computer Tech repairing electronics for a electronic rental company. I see double the amount of broken PS4's compared to Xbox One's.

Man in two years, the EGM92 shit will have been a decade ago. A decade. Think how much people can change in ten years. It's insane how long some have been part of GAF, myself included :o

8 PS4? Okay... Whether it's the OP's faut or not, I'm pretty sure that Detective GAF will uncover the truth... like in the various past (and epic) threads.

Good point. Seriously, why?

We have nothing to hide and we always leave our email open? She never had a history of deleting anyrhing? I was surprised that she knew how to do it nonetheless actually did it?

Hell my email is open now and has been open on my desktop all day while I was at work. No deleted stuff now cause she learned her lesson.

lol hollyshit. I wouldn't blame it on Sony, I think you are just too unlucky when it comes to PS4

Well the only thing I can say is I am surprised you or Sony hasn't cut thier loses yet. Though I think the problem is on your end.

I can't even grasp how this is physically possible. You're either doing some kinky stuff to your ps4 or you're an extremely unlucky person.

I think there is an issue on your end. 8 PS4s is not normal. I mean my launch PS4 arrived DOA but the second one is working perfectly since then.

Anyone willing to fill me in on what "Wine Cooler" is referring to?
There was a kid who had an ordinate amount of console failures and when he posted a picture of his setup, his console was shown to be placed on top of a subwoofer or speaker. People called him out on his idiocy but he tried to claim that it was a wine cooler, exposing himself ever dumber by not understanding that a wine cooler would actually be far more harmful.

I hope it doesn't take 8 rounds of missing emails to drive this point home then. Closing your mail isn't difficult.

Is this the same PS4 being repaired over and over again, or new consoles each time. I could believe if it is the former but the latter i would speculate it is an issue on your end.

Sucks about the fact that you've gone through so many PS4's and all, but what in the world were you expecting by asking to just constantly speak to the next higher person up? You realize these people aren't the engineers that made the system, right? They literally won't be able to tell you how or why you're going through so many PS4's. Their guess is as good as your's. Do you expect someone to magically somehow say "Oh, yeah, PS4's that go through exactlythisspecificthing and then get thisextremelyspecificthing done to them are known to fail, are you doing those things?"

I go through this practically every day at work. Customer gets pissed off about some policy that restricts us from doing something for them, I tell them the policy. I read the policy word for word to them. They ask for my manager, he does the same thing. They call corporate about it, they get some dumb little 20$ courtesy coupon and probably lost 2 hours of their time over nothing. It's just dumb.

I have a couple of the old shipping receipts somewhere in my dresser and when my kid wipe out my email "even my more important emials" I figured it wasn't that much of a problem because they were always able to see my service history. Now I'm just left with that shitty I can't prove I'm right feeling.
i guess the problem are not about proving who's wrong, but how to fix that damn PS4 of yours. because, man... motherfucking EIGHT??

my bad wiring, high moisture house, drooling dog, fur-shedding cat, and mischievous toddlers all combined together won't be able to ruin that much of PS4s at that kind of time frame

  • first of all, did u get a replacement system(s) or they just fix something / replace a broken part?
u need to look up what exactly did they fix?? there's probably a troubled part that spreads the damage and screwed ur console over and over again
  • second, it might not be the electricity. but try to calmly asses what could possibly damage ur PS4 in that house of yours. probably the temperature? probably the moisture? probably that furry carpet u place facing the cooling vents?
PS4 consumes considerably more energy and do more work than every other systems out there. so what might not affect ur PS3 or other consoles, could be a problem for ur PS4
  • and last, what's ur PS4 are using, but the other systems not? probably u bought a dedicated peripheral? probably a cloth that u use to cover it when u didn't use it.

this is true.
My PS4 one day started continually trying to eject. I thought my kids had jammed two discs in there but no. The problem persisted past stand-by and reboot. I fixed it by unplugging it and waiting a bit then re-plugging it. I think the touch sensitive buttons can accumulate some kind of charge that makes the console think they are being activated.
