Can I expect to run Half-Life 2 and Battlefield 2 smoothly..... or 2006 games.... I think so, but dont know where the recommended specs fall......

x600 is not exactly a powerhouse but 1gb ram is a good #. Don't expect too much and you should be fine.

I have a X600 128MB on my laptop:

P4 @ 2.8
1GB DDR2 RAM

I can run HL2/CS: Source on it @ 12xx by 8xx (whatever the 16:10 ratio is) very nicely (between 40 and 50 FPS). No AA though. Still looks and runs about as good as the 6800 Ultra on my desktop, IMO.

BF2 is a little bit more...meh. I can run it at 800 by 600 with just about eveything turned to low. It's playable...but not that pretty.

HL2 is most important. Ive been wanting to play it for a while. BF2, as well.... maybe more.
