My guess is one of the guys had a priest like outfit to help calm people in these situations and removed it after speaking to her.

More persons is going to church tomorrow. Catholicism +1

We're actually in a Civilization game. The missionary unit disappears after it does its job of spreading the faith.

Whats the miracle? That they prayed before the first responders managed to cut through their car?

People try to find signs of the existence of the divine everywhere they go.

I had a woman tell me that God gave a taxi driver and her a sign when her husband let his phone in a cab. She said it made her call her husband and made the driver pick it up and hence ensured the safe return of the phone to her husband. Throughout the conversation she never thanked the taxi driver for not being dishonest and just keeping the phone.

I also had a classmate who got lost in school trying to find the correct classroom. Then he said God showed her a sign and he walked towards the right way and found where he was supposed to go...

Except the road was closed for a quarter mile all around, so he couldn't have driven away that quick. If he walked away, you think one of the dozen people looking for him would spot him, but I suppose it's possible.

Judging by the photos, it doesn't look like traffic going the other direction was closed, as there were passerby taking shots out their driver's side windows. Considering the large median there would be no reason to close the other side, so the priest probably saw the wreck, decided to stop and see if he could help, and moved on after talking to the girl.

All these photos of the scene and nobody took a shot of the priest praying with the girl? Not saying he was a hallucination, but come on, people, that's the money shot, miracle or no miracle.

nonbelievers .if god was to appear and make a bush burn, you'll think it ahd to do with the refraction of the sky

I would be more inclined to believe that he/she is merely a person with superpowers, is an alien, someone from the future with magic-like technology and a thousand other reasons before I reach the conclusion that he/she is God.

I would hope if God appeared that his big evidence of who he was would be something I couldn't do with a match and some lighter fluid. What you describe sounds more like what would happen if GOB appeared.

And I'd wonder why God chose setting a bush in the middle of the desert on fire as his way to contact us. Seems rather indirect and begging for questioning, don't it.

Further, there are countless ways this mysterious priest could've made his way away from the accident. Why should we jump to any conclusion as to how it happened, let alone one that claims he was sent down briefly by an all powerful deity, in order to give a girl he just let get brutally smashed in an accident some momentary piece of mind?

In a world where that's plausible, wouldn't it make more sense for him to send the guy down moments earlier in order to prevent the accident?

Hold up, player, he didn't claim anything. This is all assumption on the part of the people there.

Not that I think this was a miracle or anything, but the most interesting part is that no one got a picture of him.

Also hilarious how many people this story seems to offend. Complaining that the firefighters should are being robbed of credit, when the fire chief made the ridiculous claim in the first place.

Agreed.

I think if we put the evidence together, without preconceptions, it becomes clearer.

The "priest" was a vampire.

If I were the reporter I would make sure I didn't find a picture. If there was one the news won't even be talked about as anything else but another tragic accident.

The story is not offensive, just silly.

Miracles have become so mundane. How about this mystery person show up and make an amputee's limb grow back. God needs to step its game up

What an absolute load of shit. This is seriously being reported as news? It reads like one of those terrible chain email stories.

I like how the rescue operation saved this person's life only to see the credit given to someone who stopped by to say a couple of prayers. Classy.

If I helped someone out like that I'd disappear too. People want to pry into the lives of those who do good deeds for no other reason than to tear them down. No thanks.

like the doctor would give a blessing. Homie don't buy into that shit

we will ignore The Satan Pit episodes

He gave the traditional blessing for that period of earth! I sure he stumbled around a bit with it though.

...to cover the sound of the sonic screwdriver making things easier for the rescuers. Of course.
