Jesus christ you guys need to get you facts right before hammering the game (or making excuses for it) like this.
The development for the Wii game was mainly planning stages (and some early early development stages) by a team consisting of a handful employees. They didn't expand the team size until they made the move to WiiU hardware.
The idea of Pikmin 3 was confirmed at E3 2008. Development began in early 2009. Mid 2010 development moved to Wii U and the team expanded in size.
The development team is EAD Software Development Group No. 4, under Hiroyuki Kimura.
It's simply wrong or a bad excuse if you think the visuals are unimpressive to say that it's just an 'upscaled wii game'. The final result will hardly have any traces from it's development on the Wii.
Funny you'd say that, since it's exactly what it is! It started as a Wii game, remember?
If it was made from the ground up for Wii-U (which it wasn't) it probably would have had higher res detailed textures and stuff, but still, i think it looks great.
TBH I expected better graphically. Hopefully it's just because it's an "upgraded" Wii game.
Jesus, it wasn't built up from the ground for Wii U, how many times does this need to be said?
is it safe to assume this was meant to be a wii game, but they upped it to HD resolution and witheld it for wiiu? sure looks like it
Listen...Its not safe to assume, its fact.
