Nintendo screwed up, at the end of the video, Luigi is playing a 2DS with the colored faceplate on the back, lol!!!
I'd say it's still important since what's around a picture affects your color perception of it.

Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, Wario and Waluigi are the only surviving humans after the end of the world, which were the consequences of the war between the Galaxy Warriors and Nightmare. The storks from Yoshi Island are actually Galaxy Warriors saving them and bringing them to a new planet. Kirby is actually a child of Rosalina and the Galaxy Warriors were her army.

Btw, how does MK7 hold up after playing and loving MK8 for many, many hours? I have skipped it until now since it is still quite expensive for a relatively old game and considering that I'd primarily play it in SP unlike 8 which I could play together with my wife 90% of the time.
Having an itch for some new MK tracks but I'm not sure if it's worth it for me.

I happily alternate them. 7 is not quite as mind-blowing, but controls similarly and has some fantastic tracks.

You think Nintendo would at least have a mock-up of the new color if that's what they are promoting.
Although one can argue that by having Luigi play with the new colors, the audience would be exposed only to the black back of the case.
Why not just make solid colors?
That's what I appreciate about my transparent blue model.

I wish they would update Mario Kart 7 ala what they are doing with Animal Crossing: New Leaf.
I think they swapped all the colors, front and back. If that is correct then only the sides of the unit are black with a black stripe across the back. The rest of the units is the main color. So the back of the unit Luigi is playing is correct. Damn, I should have waited another month to buy mine.

Mario is a business man (and doctor and plumber) at work, of course he'd use an unsecured e-mail for sensitive company information.
Giving the 2DS the extra nub, the new quadcore processor, extra ram, NFC would actually be pretty cheap. The most expensive part to the 3DS is it screen and the 2DS doesn't need to eye tracking. Plus, Nintendo would be able to sell additional SNES titles and amiibos.
