Never noticed this but it looks like if you've never been a Plus member you can get a free 14 day trial? Under Playstation Plus>Free Games there's a banner for it. I already have Plus so I can't check it. Checking this from the PS3 store front.

I think that requires you to lock in your US credit card or something.
