Yep, the launch lineup for PS4 is garbo.
There was a rumor that MS had the rights to OS-level streaming for Twitch. It sounded pretty credible.
Yeah this is the thing that worries me. Sony has a track record of implementing awesome system level features but leaving it up to developers to actually use them. Reaaaally bad on the PS3, it's a bit better on the Vita although there are still a few games where I'd like to play my own music and it's not allowed. If it really is ubiquitous across the system then we're in for some fun times.
Speaking of, Vita has the capability to stream to Nico although no games support it yet as far as I'm aware, I wonder if Nico support will come to PS4.
Thank god. The lack of Twitch integration was the only major disappointment for me regarding the PS4. This is going to be very important for them.
Hopefully they add in support for the PS Eye and split streaming as well, for streaming that would like to include their face on the stream.

I can see a lot of viewers trolling streamers like this. Join and get on their party then grief them to get the spotlight on a popular streamer's cast.

Wow, Twitch was the number one advantage Xbone had over PS4 imo and now that's moot. Good shit.
Well I think that's only for people who are on your friends list. Would be cool to have some clarification tho

I remember said tips, and took it as sony being able to use it, but everyone seemed dead set on PS4 only being able to use Ustream. Seemed weird to me, even PS3 isn't limited to being able to have it's os level recorded videos only show up on youtube.
Them saying that game recording wasn't limited to 15 minutes would seem to suggest that you can manually start recording like a DVR, yes. No idea about formats or exporting to USB, though.
Yeah that's been confirmed. It's like screen shots.

Thank god. Figured sony would go for twitch support given how popular it is. Ustream alone woudl have given the Xbox a big one up over the ps4.
With streaming not behind a paywall this gen on ps4, that should swing the streaming a bit into their favor again.

Should've been the plan from the start. Glad they got around to it. Having both the PS4 and Xbox One stream to Twitch is going to be huge.

I'm guessing options. Wouldn't make sense to lock in Twitch for the Japanese market where niconama is far more popular.

It could but why would it matter? Ustream is crap in comparison. Just go to their sites and you'll see why. Twitch was built purely for gaming, while Ustream was not. Great that the PS4 is getting this though. Twitch is about to become way more awesome.
