Trailer for a trailer for a documentary that will probably not be longer than 10 minutes.
I met him and chatted with him for about 20 mins at SXSW a few months ago and he was really pleasant. His assholish persona is just that.
What is the point of a documentary? Well to inform, to educate, etc.
GAF is noted quite a bit in media, especially since most of the gaming press get some/most/all of their news from GAF and people who may not go here or even know of this place outside of "Source: NeoGAF" or "People on GAF found out, x, y and z about product X".
This will inform people a bit about GAF, it's history and what people in the industry think of the place and talk about how influential GAF is.
Naughty Dog asked people from here to help test a fix for Uncharted 3. Dyack did the whole "FOR OR AGAINST" thing. GAF uncovered many things that go unreported for one reason or another. How many people are even aware of this? Probably not many, most who know of GAF but don't visit and aren't in the industry probably think of NeoGAF as a pain because of the way people talk about the forum on twitter (the press and some of the game devs/pubs people) or in articles (whiny gamers angry over x regardless of if there is a legit reason for the anger). Even Evilore is in it and therefore the documentary is capturing all sides of it, from the owner, to the Pachter to Cliffy "Too Bad Motherfucker" B.
Gaming press would not know what the hell to do without GAF here.
So what is the point? The point is to inform, to educate people who don't know of GAF or don't know it that well and I hope GT will be able to capture all this. In essence, it is like all documentaries. It has a point even if that point isn't obvious to someone who goes on GAF. If someone isn't on GAF and hears that it's a documentary about a forum, chances are they will be like "WTF, why would GT do a documentary on a forum? *is curious, watches*"
It has a point, it has an audience that doesn't JUST include GAFers. GT has no reason not to do this and I'm sure the guys at GT figured this out before they started working on it. They saw it as an opportunity and they gladly took said opportunity and ran with it.

I just can't believe these people are taking NeoGAF so seriously.

Checking the youtube comments again... man, it's like Evilore/GAF as a whole killed a family member or something.
Also what did Duckroll do to anyone? I'd expect an Amir0x is gay style comment to be rated up but the Duckroll one seems random.

Looks like rejects and banned ones are grouping up on youtube again.

They used the current 3D one which makes it seem like there's a curve at the bottom left of the "N". There shouldn't be one, it's just perspective.

Well, he was pretty ruthless even when discussing Nintendo's shortcomings to me. I think you have to be if you're an investor -- there is no room for attachment. But he was very personable and a nice guy to talk to. I think people are not used to guys who shoot from the hip.

They just showed the full trailer. Patcher said his life would be complete if there was never a thread made with his name on neogaf again. Dyack actually said something positive about GAF. EviLore said people get mad when they are made out to be nothing but pirates and fanboys.
