Sent today to drPepper in the wonderful land of Austria! Shipping was a bitch, I wrote $10 as the value of the package so hopefully you don't get slammed with customs charges.
Weighed something like 12lbs! Sent Mt. Dew by request and pretty much every type of candy I could get my hands on.

Enjoy your candies Tuvoc! Looking at that photo, I realised I should have given you more (It doesn't look much compared to the others). Well, I had to take some candies out just so it could get below 1kg to save on the postage cost. Glad you liked the Starburst gummies. Oh yeah, here's a tip, put the Tim Tams on the refridgerator, it'll taste much better.

I need Crunchies, and Fruit Pastilles, and Cadbury's Dairy Milk chocolate from the UK. All the stuff I got at duty free on my last trip is gone.
There's an import food store nearby but it's so damn expensive! $2.09 for a roll of Fruit Pastilles. It's insane.
I'd love to do something like this.

Glad you're enjoying it! I wasn't sure what to get so I just got as many "unique" things as possible. That way if you really really like something, then I can just send more of that next time ;D
Those Tim's Potato Chips are excellent. My girlfriend and I eat a big bag all the time. They're very spicy, but sooooo good. I hope they didn't get too smashed!
My favs are the Reeses Pieces, Sour Patch Kids, Swedish Fish and the gum. OMG, that watermelon gum. LOVE IT! The Air Heads used to come in these giant 1' long strips, but now they're in smaller packages. Still very awesome!

No disrespect to my candy "partners", but I'd like to try again.
My 1st partner traded me to another person (doesn't want US candy), and I accepted that change of plans. In general, I prefer to make plans and keep them as set though. Also, I paid USD $120 to send this candy (not including the price of the candy), and barely get any acknowledgement. He rcv'd but didn't open it? WTF? And I have not rcv'd anything or heard from the middle person who was sending me candy.
Next time, if anyone wants to swap... I'm down. I prefer people who aren't biased by what country the candy is coming out of. Bottom line is sugar is the same in every country.

I already PMed nutjobjim, but I haven't sent his stuff out yet. I'm going to Washington D.C. tomorrow evening for five days, so I'm going to keep an eye out for any East Coast USA exclusive snacks to include.

My experience hasn't been as ideal as I had planned either. My partner got his candy but forgot to tell me he got it or that he had shipped mine.
It's discouraging to try really hard and do something like this and not be aknowledged. I understand that entirely.
I guess some of the people that participated aren't as involving as some of us had hoped. Some people just get busy and don't have a lot of time to set aside for stuff like this which is also understandable. Everyone needs to remember that communication is important, be sure to always keep your partner updated. It's rude to participate in something like this and then leave your partner hanging.
Anyway, I am very excited to recieve my candy and I hope everyone else's swaps go well.
Also, I think we better let this swap quiet down a bit before we begin another one. I know of a few people who haven't recieved or shipped their candy yet.
Please, post pics of your candy when you receive it! It's interesting seeing what everyone else gets!

Well I really appreciated the sweets quietcrown sent me. Sorry I didn't take a pic - I was too eager to stuff my face. Man, those Thornton's Viennese Truffles were devastatingly addictive. I think I managed to consume about 5000 calories in one day!
And I dispatched lil smoke's package today. Sorry it was much later than originally planned because of various problems at home. You can't really say you got no communication from me though, as I told you a few week's back when I'd actually bought all the stuff. It just took me a long time to ship it. Sorry
I have enjoyed the swap immensely, but maybe it's better to put hard limits in place: limit the spend, and definitely have a deadline.

Octagon shipped my package before i did, and when i was gonna ship hers, well, i rickrolled someone ... and i forgot to take out the address, and i only have time one satrudays, so, it was a 2 week delay, but it has been shipped, all the way to Germany!
They said it should take around 2 weeks to arrive
I haven't received (well, actually, i haven't gone to check ^^u), but i'm ready for the next one
