Damn, for once I hit the outside and I end up missing this. Anyway, sorry OP but people have all the right to complain about stuff they don't like in the products they are offered, be it right stuff, left stuff, or whatever the fuck.

I don't think trying to censor the consumer and unabling them to express their discomfort is the way to go. Sorry you got triggered by that, we'll miss you.

This. I agree with this sentiment. Going into the far end in either direction is not something that's healthy. I understand the frustration that's been brewing over the years, since a significant portion of the western gaming industry deliberately chose a politically correct path, but giving an equal forceful counter response is not the answer. There needs to be a coexistence, nuance and balance between these two poles. Swinging hard into only one corner never results in anything good. That's the exact source of this ongoing friction.

That said, if the story in Saros that's being discussed here is factual, I'd be more curious as to whom the consultancy firm was who advised Housemarque. It really sounds like some external party stepped in to "correct" Housemarque on what they should "actually" be doing and not something they organically conceived by themselves. It just too weird.

Yeah I noticed there's been a lot of "woke" threads lately. Still it does not justify throwing a temper tantrum over.

Even if they make more in the future the woke stuff becomes canon usually so they've written themselves into a hole and pissed off and disgusted what would otherwise have been potential customers.

Devs would have to declare that their woke entry in the series is not canon.

And we're not there yet in most cases.
 
Do people complain about woke stuff too much? Yes.

Do the woke deserve any leeway or forgiveness for all the bullshit that they have spouted off over the last 10-15 years? No.
 
I mean, op does have a point to an extent. A lot of people do call things woke because they don't like the direction it's going here. Personally, if i never hear the term woke in my life again, it will still be too soon.

Regardless of the context, hearing or reading the term has become a major annoyance to me.
