Me too! And I've actually driven that section between Laramie and Cheyenne many times. It's about a mile away from the National park where it's not like you describe. One of the few places where it actually isn't a flat barren in Wyoming unless you head far west.

But yes, the I-25 is a wasteland. Probably why they built it there.

Far west Wyoming is just as flat and bad. You gotta go North towards the Tetons or south towards the Uintas before anything becomes interesting.

We never stood a chance :(

"BUFORD, Wyo.—A Wyoming town advertised as the smallest in the United States has sold at auction for $900,000.
Buford is located between Cheyenne and Laramie in southeast Wyoming. An unidentified Vietnamese man placed the winning bid at auction Thursday.
As owner of the place along Interstate 80, he will get a gas station and convenience store, a schoolhouse from 1905, a cabin, a garage, 10 acres of land, and a three-bedroom home."

The town has had just one inhabitant, Don Sammons, who served with the U.S. Army in Vietnam in the late 1960s. He plans to retire from his unofficial title as "mayor" of the unincorporated community and write a book about his experiences in Buford.

Bravo.

I think there's still chance to negotiate. The new owner is perfect, he could provide Vietnamese waifus for the gaffers and we would work for him.

But who will speak for us?

Front page CNN.com. Looks like you guys beat me to the news.

From CNN:
"Tonjah Andrews, a real estate broker from Cheyenne who was hired to represent the men, said she would not disclose their names. She said the men flew in from Vietnam after learning about the auction from online news stories."

Oooh, so there were 2 of them! Maybe they heard about it from our site! Maybe they're members and they bought it to give to us as a present!
