New Batman: Arkham Knight gameplay - "Officer Down"

"L1 to Even the Odds"

Looks so good.

Fire "Immobilizer"

Riiiiight :lol

Seems you straight-up fly in this game. Looks like good ol' Arkham, something off about visually for me though, not sure what.

All of the voices in this footage are terrible. I don't know why people like Kevin Conroy.

Whaaaaaa
How can you not like Conroy?

Looks good, considering this is the console version without the usual Nvidia gameworks stuff.

Kevin Conroy sounded off in some places, maybe it's a plot thing with Batman injured/infected/getting old or something, but was noticeable.

No Kimberly Brooks Oracle T_T

Also, much prefer the batmobile as a mode of transport rather than integrated as much as it was in previous trailers, the entering exiting stuff is great though.

Bummer about the 21 day delay, but the game is looking fantastic!

Great to finally see confirmed PS4 gameplay since that's the version I'll be playing.

Impressive to see what Unreal Engine 3 is capable of!

Great transitions between gameplay and cutscene, and i think that the facial mocap was improved compared to the previous trailers.

Too bad that the Batmobile Edition is sold out everywhere!

weird, do you not lose your combo when you fuck up a counter? Scrub mode!

Besides the car, its... batman arkham. Wonder if the new ironmanish suit will offer any gameplay changes. Besides a few new combat changes, things seem the same for the most part.

...So Batman is actually shooting missiles at vehicles with drivers? I thought they were supposed to be unmanned.

This is the one where Batman goes legit serial killer, isn't it?

Clearly, to me at least. I have given up hope even the PC version at its peak will be on par with this.

Oh well the Nvidia bells and whistles will be there.

Particle effects in that video are way better, but Nvidia's particle system on the Batmangames have always been really good. I cna see them pulling them off.

The lighting is also better, don't know how that will fare, hopefully atleast a little better on PC than in the PS4 video.

But yeah, probably nto quite as good as the reveal, closer though than the PS4.

Looks amazing. I'm not digging the "do you even lift bro" batman model, but oh well. The gym swag at 3:24 is pretty ridiculous and unintentionally hilarious.

"Press L1 to Even the Odds" haha.

Looks good though, Batman's gliding seems to be much faster than in City and Origins, still kind of off putting how the Officer asks for help and he just slowly meanders his way over.

Imagine what the PC version will look like with all the NVidia stuff turned on...

Oh yeah, hail to the king, baby....

The Nvidia effects won't bring this at the same level as E3 2014 footage.
It's going to look very close to what's being show here with better LOD.

Hopefully yes but this is a multiplatform game so structurally it must be identical.

The Nvidia effects (effects implemented as part of Rocksteady-Nvidia's partnership but not necessarily "exclusive" to Nvidia GPUs or PC) include :
Turbulence - volumetric, deformable smoke reacting to geometry/wind, can be affected by multiple lights. Supports self-shadowing as well.
GPU Physx - environmental details, debris, particles, fluids, etc.. PCgameshardware.de saw those at Gamescom 2014 and were impressed.
Rain effects (probably on all platforms) - rain flowing down differently depending on the physical properties of the material.
Faceworks - middleware for skin shading, eye refraction etc, probably on all platforms (I don't see Rocksteady re-authoring assets for ONE sku).
Volumetric lights - self explanatory.

Cool stuff but it won't completely overhaul the game in every respects.
What I'm hoping for is better LOD.

Like I said in the other thread, this is one of the games that really show a generational leap in visuals. Still, Youtube videos really look like shit. Hope we get the high quality Gamersyde footage soon. Gameplay looks awesome as well. That Fear Takedown.... *drools*

really curious to know what happens if you drive over pedestrians. batman doesn't kill people but so how do you work around a tank like car driving over someone.
If it's like The Crew, they will dodge your car against all odds. If somehow you manage to actually get your car to where you're supposed to run over them, you'll just ghost right through them.

You don't think particle effects will be way better? They always have been for these games. Also HABO+ in a dark game like this will make a noticeable differece.

Don't know about the lighting...

This looks fucking incredible. I always forget how much I love these Arkham games until I see them in motion again. Day motherfuckingone.

Fucking... Amazing!

Can't believe people are saying these graphics aren't fantastic... or that the voice acting wasn't great.
