Seems to be accurate.

Hellfires, 50 cal rotary guns, and an 80mm cannon.

I'm hoping the reasoning behind it is that after getting their ass kicked by the big bad, they come up with a plan that involves Batman creating a diversion so he uses his prep time to stick as many guns on as possible.

That could be the armpit of an Autobot.

Looks like theirs context behind the guns. Who'd think that, right?

Well, they're fighting Darkseid and his parademons, right? If Batman barely cares about killing people, I'm pretty sure aliens are fair game. They're not exactly your average gangsters or whatnot.

We are aware that people write these movies, right?

If they wanted to write a movie where the Batmobile isn't armed like an Apache helicopter they could.

Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if whatever reason the film gives for the guns is really just an excuse to have big explosions.

Not pictured is the bag of guns sitting in the passenger seat, and a few more hidden in the dash.

Also, a few more in the trunk.

Jup. But shows how Batman is like i am so outmatched here.
He isnt going let that happen again. See Batmobile.

What would the batmobile do there? Superman wrecked it by standing still and the LOTR troll was significantly more powerful. He should just focus on building Brother Eye so that can go badly, or his big brother watchtower space station with orbital laser.

Yup. Fair game and it seems there's a fuck ton of them.

Silly BlackGoku. No one cares about context.

Normally GAF does but.... never mind.

Well... what kind of justice league movie would it be without some spectacle? Maybe his guns should shoot baterangs instead. Problem solved.

Remember, Parademons lives matter.

It's kind of pointless because at the end of the day he's still going to be outmatched. I'd rather see some cool gadgets than a shit load of guns on the Batmobile. This is the car the Punisher would drive in "Punisher kills the DC Universe"

I thought batman hates guns. Even in frank Miller's batman they were rubber bullets for crowd control. And that sweet rifle he had, didn't it just shoot a grappling hook?

In my mind I have always imagined the bat-mobile being a sleek, streamlined, impenetrable vehicle. The old 60's bat-mobile, the 80's bat-mobile, the cartoon bat-mobile all shared that same design aspect. The new ever since the batman and robin movie where the bat-mobile looked like a traveling disco the bat-mobile designs have been garbage in my eyes.

I imagine something like the concept ideas below.

These are really nice, and a good interpretation of a modern, sleek Batmobile.

If this image were posted in another thread, I'd never have guessed what it was. Totally detached in purpose and aesthetic from Batman. Dreadful.

I'm not a big fan of MoS and the failings it had in portraying Superman, but I thought it was a solid enough foundation that they could build on in his next movie. Instead they went in the opposite direction with BvS.

Now I'm wondering if something similar will happen with Batman in JL, because the design of that Batmobile doesn't give me confidence in what they're planning for him.

If youre post was "I'm not big fan of Selma and the failings it had in portraying Martin Luther King" then I would understand it.

I'm not calling you out specifically but just in general I dislike this sentiment in regards to portrayals of fictional characters.

These arent biographical films about real people. If we are able to set historical points of reference for these characters within a macrocultural comic book landscape, then -- besides Action Comics #1 or Detective Comics #1 -- how are those reference points not completely arbitrary and baseless in judging portrayals?

The characters in Man of Steel or BvS or Justice League will be adaptations of adaptations of adaptations of characters whose portrayals have always shifted based off the creative teams' story needs and desires.

Man of Steel did not fail in portraying Superman in the slightest. Did you really miss the mark (again, a completely arbitrary mark existing somewhere incorporeally based off one's individual perceptions and biases) if you were aiming for the tree behind it.

Yes, because it was the wrong tree to aim for.

Aliens have families too Batman or something.

Snyder should have made them robots.

What does Batman actually do in Justice League comics in comparison to what Snyder thinks he is like?

There's a basis for these characters though. Sure, ideals and personalities have shifted but they've been who they are for decades. Early on Batman was portrayed as a guy that kills and used guns but those were before they got his character down, now one of the fundamental can't-mess-with-it characteristics of him is that he doesn't like guns and you know why. You'll have elseworld tales where he's using guns, absolutely, but when you deal with canon and, more importantly in this instance, public/mainstream perception of him then you want to get the character "right". The Batman in Snyder-verse goes so against what the character has been for basically 40 years that it's jarring to hardcore and casual fans alike.

You say it's fictional characters and they can be written any which way but there's still a foundation you build on. They decided to do away with that foundation and create a new one where Batman kills and uses guns. So anyone getting into Batman now well see it as "this is who Batman is" because that's what's presented to them when it's not.

Edit:
I can't wait till they give Batman super powers too.

They've done it before (and Superman beat him).
