Yeah it's exclusive, so expect a PS3 version announced before the release of the game on 360.puebla said:and i believe this is exclusive to 360 along with Lost Planet.
BioFan said:MS better secure this game exclusive for 360...they really need a good exclusive game for the console.
op_ivy said:not sure the game will actually be fun yet, but it certainly looks very interesting thus far.
i hope there is more then just random zombie violence with a huge assortment of weapons (though that is cool). maybe platforming type of stuff. it would be interesting to have almost a prince of persia style system of escaping hordes of zombies and shimmying across ledges and what not. instead of mindless, non-stop battles, it would be cool to have to quickly figure out an escape route when surrounded...
arne said:I don't know about quickly figuring out an escape route, but there are things to figure out. In the demo that was playable at Zero Hour (which I think came from TGS?) you had to save two people who were trapped behind a counter in the mall and take them somewhere. So you had to save them and protect them. Looking at the screens in the scan, you can tell something like that is going on in one of them, where he's leading the girl by her hand.
Yes, I know, it's an escort mission, shush. And I never managed to figure out what you had to do because I kept killing the people I had to save with badly timed and aimed swings of a bat/pipe/etc. :lol
(and of course everything I may have just said is *old*)
op_ivy said:yeah, i did notice that, but its not really the same sort of thing. should mix up the action a bit though, i like games where you have to help ai characters progress, like ico. i just hope it doesnt turn out to be the shitty kind of "escort mission".
op_ivy said:damn, now that i'm kind of brainstorming with myself on it, a more realistic zombie infested game would rock... one where you actually are trying to escape rather then fight them. could be very stressfull and yet fun... hmmm
arne said:Yeah. I mean, the demo was 1 level. And with what seems to be boss monsters and that "boss eyed heroine" who knows where this will end up.
Only if they have a "Shaun of the Dead" camouflage mode... where you get to, I don't know, walk erratically while hitting the triggers to moan so as to avoid detection...

phonte said:looks like a lot of fun, but the graphics are lacking.
phonte said:but the graphics are lacking.
phonte said:if the environments are destructible, deformable, or interactive (meaning, you can toss a zombie tumbling into a toppling newspaper stand), that'd be an enticing plus.
op_ivy said::lol actually, i was hoping for something like that in dead rising. oh, and i had BETTER get to go into a record shop and toss some vinyls at zombie heads in this game capcom!
Fallofmart said:Ah come on man, it might not be OMGBESTEVA but it's looking pretty fantastic so far.
arne said:Actually, I think we need to get a business plan together, hire some programmers and artists, work out some licensing deals... I think we've got a million-plus seller on our hands.
op_ivy said:now, if only we knew someone with an "in" to the industry![]()
phonte said:"fantastic" in what sense?
doesn't look like something i expect from a machine i just paid $400 for.
again, the game looks like a lot of fun -- i'm really digging the theme.
but the graphics could be exponentially better.
not a big deal, provided the game is a blast to play.
Goreomedy said:I don't get it. Were you expecting Gears of War level detail in a game that's trying to fit 2,000 zombies on screen at once?
phonte said:also, the environments just look like they're straight out of this gen, sparsely detailed and angular.
the lighting isn't that hot, either.
He was "uglier" since that was the design they were going for originally. They wanted an ugly-ish "normal guy" character instead of the pretty boy stuff most games go with. Seems like they were getting too much bad feedback so they revised the design.nitewulf said:dude used to look a lot goofier, i think. i guess they are going for a more serious tone now, i still hope it has some campy humour.
phonte said:uh, no?
i was, however, expecting uniquely modeled and detailed zombies -- not the return of the zombie clones.
also, the environments just look like they're straight out of this gen, sparsely detailed and angular.

the game doesn't look terrible at all, but i expect a LOT from this gen...and this game doesn't deliver in that respect.
i will say this, tho..if it runs at 60fps, incorporates the zombie theme faithfully, and manages to be fun, i'm sold.

Shompola said:Does it support live coop ala Spikeout and Diablo? That would be great.
