So much lol.

Antoniades said his game will be "locked" at 30FPS, and that the reduction allows his team to add "stuff like the world changing" - the way levels can transform dramatically during gameplay.
I can get behind this as stated before there are many great action games that run at 30fps (So long as its locked) and yeah guess what guys its not DMC...and guess what...thats awesome because while DMC4 was good (and pretty) it was same old same old status quomiladesn said:

First Name said:It was announced a day before it occurred and people sent in questions ahead of time. That is plenty of time to organize it better or maybe tell people what questions they can't answer. It was handled atrociously and that had nothing to do with "bloodthirsty fans".

ezekial45 said:So to say that the fans didn't have anything to do with how apprehensive they were during and leading up to the interview is ridiculous. Could Capcom and NT have handled this whole PR exchange better? Absolutely. But I the fact the fans keep trying to play the victim here to be very insulting, quite frankly. Especially after all the bullshit and just plain hypocrisy i've read from various forums.
Probably new thread worthy.miladesn said:

Tameem Antoniades went on to tackle the issue of frame rate. The Devil May Cry prequel will run at only 24-28 frames per second, whereas old Devil May Cry games opted for 60FPS.
Antoniades said he wishes his game will be "locked" at 30FPS, and that the game will tear like a motherfucker.
The director of the old Devil May Cry games will also work with Ninja Theory to ensure the "feel of Ninja Theory games" remains, with mass amounts of input lag.
jett said:GOW3 varies between 30 and 60fps, it's not locked, but it's the amazing motion blur used(and triple buffering which ensures no screen tearing at all) that gives it a smooth feel overall.

Victims? VICTIMS?! lol srsly... guess what I liked Bayonetta PS3. I've played and beaten every DMC excluding 2 and guess what...I guess that makes me a fan...and truth be told 99% of people do not play anywhere near the capabilities where 60 fps is required. 60fps is nice, but its not a requirement unless you like making 10 min combo videos, which makes up a very VERY small percentage of the DMC community.GuardianE said:Fans are the victims. Doesn't mean that victims don't get pissed and lash out. Neither Ninja Theory nor Capcom deserve any sympathy. They knew what they were getting into when announcing the product/changes, so they need to accept it. All of it.

Why is this treated like an offense? I dont understand why a fan who posts on the internet is any more important than the thousands more who casually play the game. And Im willing to bet there are plenty more casual players out there, they just don't care enough to get up in arms about it.

Should try 24fps, a truly cinematic experience.

edit: I'm not saying there weren't inappropriate comments but characterizing the amount of malice in the live chat as "ridiculous" is absurd.
ezekial45 said:Yes, i was in the chat too. My name is on that list you posted.
Anyway, they used about two-three different ways to get comments, if i recall correctly. The youtube chat, which you posted, but also from the forums and the blog posts. It's not just one particular chat i was talking about but all of them in general. And those ones as well contained ridiculous amounts of vitriol, with the bits of comments in the one you have there. I still stand by what i said.

I for am interested to see the dmc games go out of their "combat simulators in static, small square boxed room."
So much shit needs to be sacrificed to make a game 60 fps its no wonder you see less and less of it.
Half the people here dont even know what the fuck 60 fps feels like. That one guy posted a youtube link of dmc4, trying to show what 60 fps feels like compared to DmCs 30 fps. News flash, both videos are encoded at 30 fps on youtube.
Also, eurogamer is going to do a write up on the playable build, i imagine it maybe kristen reed, who did the dmc3 review, and dmc4 review. He also relished in dmc3's insane difficulty, not derided it like some other reviewers. So he certainly appreciates many of the nuances of dmc.
Also, kudos for ninja theory to stick by thier guns, they created a wirld that needed to be at 30, and so they are doing it. Dmc4 was not as good as dmc3. If dmc4 was a 30 fps game, yet improved in many of its shortcomings, it woild have likely been an overall better product. Despite being at 30.

Combo players are lunatics and I hate them. You are talking about combos with 3+ inputs per second. The difficult combos, and I mean like crazy nonsense hard, don't really reflect gameplay that anybody relates to. You can basically ignore this player-base because VF fans outnumber in droves.First Name said:As someone who has trouble pulling off some of the more advanced maneuvers, and has never made any sort of combat video I have to say that's false. I most definitely can tell the difference and it is a requirement for me. That's not to say that 60 fps is automatically good or that 30 fps is automatically bad, but with Devil May Cry it does matter even if you aren't DahBomb, making videos and getting a combo right for hours.
