But would he really say anything else?![]()
It has to look better. I mean, even marginally.
But would he really say anything else?![]()
Yea I don't think it looks that bad, just flat, but I'd rather play it on the small screen.
Except that it's an MMO*, so no keyboard would suck.

Being developed alongside the Wii makes this not count for me. Maybe I'm just jaded from the early Xbox 360 days though.
MMO on console isn't really that much different from other online game types.Interested because this is Dragon Quest, but playing an MMO on console is pretty lol-worthy. I'd rather have it on 3DS if it can't be on PC.
I just want to play this! Hurry up Hori good God.

An MMO built around a pad can never be as good as one built around a keyboard.

It's designed around pad support though, same as XI.I disagree some games play better with a pad especially FFXIV game is awful with a keyboard

Dragon Quest X supports keyboards:

I'm sorry...did you mean a keyboard for controlling the game? In that case, never mind. Looks like it's just for communication.Goddamnit that got my hopes up for a second.
They've done a terrible job of revealing the game, which is nothing new for Square. They should have expected most people would be uncomfortable or turned off without reassurances there's still a full story driven JRPG in there - if that is indeed the case.
What they should have shown (if these things exists as such) were footage of single player quest cut scenes, dungeons, boss battles, etc. Essentially, emphasize how the game is (apparently) an evolution of DQVIII and it's 1:1 freewheeling overworld.
Most of what they've shown seems to be a few wide, empty starter areas for multiple players to run around in or practice on a few unimpressive starting enemies. Basically, they're trying hard to sell the multiplayer/MMO side of the game and not emphasizing there's supposed to be a regular RPG in there too.
Might want to wait to see what they do for the Wii U version then, since with the touch screen, text chat and hotkeying can be a possibility. An MMO built around a pad can never be as good as one built around a keyboard.
But you want a PS3 version...which would also be developed alongside the Wii?
I wish that there was no Wii version and they focused on making it look like Ni no kuni or along those lines. I don't think something similar to this would be unreasonable.

No Wii version? y u mad bro?
lol I'm just saying they could have a little more freedom. Besides I don't think we will even see a Wii version here in NA.
We haven't missed out on a mainline DQ game in the states since the days of the Super Famicom.
Wouldn't surprise me if Nintendo themselves were going to publish X outside of Japan. I think it actually has a better chance of coming outside Japan on a Nintendo system than on anything else considering the way Nintendo markets third party games.
Stop being dumb.
I didn't specifically say DQ10.
I want a proper HD, high fidelity DQ game.
Nobody in the west is going to pay a monthly fee to play a Dragon Quest game online, though.
Hell, I'm not sure many people in Japan will either.

This would look good for a PS2 game.
My main rebuttal was against him saying it would somehow have a better chance of coming stateside on a different console.
Not sure but I wouldn't be surprisedWasn't it already confirmed that the Wii version won't be released outside of Japan?
It's an MMO, on the Wii. Graphically, they are really limited by those two factors so don't expect too much. Not low poly enough. Seriously this better have huge drawing distance or extremely elaborate animation otherwise there's no excuse.
Oh look, more hyperbole.
Oh look, more hyperbole.
If i were Nintendo, i would rather the game be a launch title for the Wii U in NA and help sell systems, rather then get lost on the Wii.
FFXI, part 2
I am beginning to see the characteristic of the graphics.
You may ignore me, but I believe the reason most are shitting on the graphics, is that the graphic style they have chosen is too unique and without much similar games, so you can't see and understand its beauty yet. I am starting to see it. You see, at some points in the history overweight women used to be considered most sexy and beautiful, before barbies etc. (Yeap, I see how this is just tag-worthy, but I really mean it!)
You will be able to play with one system with the another; however, I don't see why one should hold the other back. It has been brought up before, but I still not sure!I really hope that wii and the wii U don't share servers or w/e, it would really suck if the wii U was held back by the wii version.
in short, I mean after we play the game for some hours, like 20 hours, we will get accustomed to the graphics and then they will look good.what the hell is this
Cry more.
