Probably they're trying to sell the last stocks of DSi.
By making new colors?

Huh, I never knew there was another version of the SMB 25th Anniversary DSiXL. I'm going to assume that one's Japan only.
Better blue:
White 4 lyfe.
Oh hey, the 3DS isn't selling because people are still buying DSis. Let's release two new colours for the DSi!

Seriously, I want to see the reasoning for this decision. It makes no sense.
By making new colors?
I want to ask this in every Nintendo thread, so here goes: just what is the origin of that Reggie pic? =P
Nope, the red DSi that Europe received was glossy.Woah. Thought that was Metallic Blue for a second. Is matte red the same red Europe got?
A chronic illness that results in making millions of dollars? Quick, cough directly into my mouth, Nintendo!Anybody have a just die already animated gif? Man DS is like a chronic illness.

Man, now I kind of want a 3DS in that green color. Green's my favorite color, but it's been snubbed for a good decade now (outside of cruel teases at pre-release E3s, like the green Wii or the green, orange, and eventually-released purple OG-3DSes); hasn't been proper green Nintendo hardware since the GBC/N64 era.Yes it did
Unless you're talking about a DSi XL, that never came to NA

Getting pics off a phone isn't that hard after all, I guess![]()
Did anyone buy one of these? I'm revisiting the DS library (or rather, visiting those games I missed) and I'm tempted to pick up a brand new DSi to play them all since that's probably the most balanced hardware for the job.
But my 2008 DSi has poor viewing angles on the screen, so I'm wondering if models released four years later were different in that regard. Especially as the DSi XL had twin-IPS displays with unwavering colours when tilted.

The drama that's about to unfold as you confuse everyone on GAF with this thread bump...
Why not just buy a 3DS and use that to play these?

DSI is best DS. That's a fact, Jack!
I have an older DSi (black), but I've never noticed the bad viewing angles.
I love my DSi. I got it so late into the DS' life, but it's still my go-to for DS games that I want to replay (like Pokemon), since DS games look like poopy on my 3DS XL.
