what does the Warner and Sony deal have to do with the 360. the last time I checked the game run on DVD not HD DVD. As for the Hd DVD add on all MS has to do is stop selling it. it not part of the system it an add on...just like the PS2 HDD.

According to people, it will soon be announced at CES that HD-DVD will be a part of the 360.

Persona is more mainstream, but it wasn't THAT mainstream until Persona 3, which essentially sheds the majority of occult/horror stuff the first two Persona's had. Of course it still has those elements; it wouldn't be SMT if there wasn't blood in the streets and messed up moments, just like how it wouldn't be Silent Hilll without the messed up moments. It's just Persona 3 is the Persona that dumbed down the formula.

Kaneko is perfectly fine for Persona. His Persona art is without a doubt my favorite stuff.

Yeah, I didn't like the change at all. But it looks like Persona is gonna go the way of FF post FF7. And this will cause many bitter tears, mine included.

meh...just speculation like Shane, but I fail to see that you can't provide any logic or back-up to contradict my statement no matter how far-fetched, but I'm guessing you can't. In end the PS3 owners can watch more movie variety.

You seriously want me to counter-argue someone who thinks Microsoft would develop an entirely new hardware SKU just to get MGS? the whole notion is ludicrous, and only worthy of a laughing smiley, sorry!
 
At this point with STUPID MS anything is possible, and I can tell you this IF they come out with a console Before late 2010 it's not going to be a X720 more like an X540:lol

I agree anything's possible, I never would've expected that MS is now under "damage" control, cuz it seems very likely that they were going to promote the HD-DVD Xbox360 with Toshiba, but now the winds have left there sails.
 
When Atlus said that they were bringing a new SMT title to PS3, back before the PS3 came out, I took them as seriously as when they said a new Persona game was going to come to the PSP and even less seriously than when N1 said that they were going to make Makai Wars for PSP...

Sweet, if there's anything lacking in terms of Japanese PSN games, it's the Japanese stuff. Hopefully it's a big company like Konami or Namco. Taito would be sweet too.

Can't wait for FES and SMT on PS3 is great, though I would have preferred Persona 4 instead. I guess it's not to bad since the my PS3 can still play Persona 4 anyways!
 
I understood MS couldn't put in a HD DVD drive in the 360 at the time of LAUNCH, as it would have turned the system into a weaker version of the PS3, as it would cost the same and offer less.But for MS to half-heartedly come out with the "Add-on" when any reasonable person could see that even with piss poor sales the PS3 was STILL going to Massively outsell $400+ players, well that just smacks of trying to HURT Sony at 360 owners expense.If they weren't going to EVER put HD DVD drives in the 360 at least sell people a combo or Blu drive add-on

The game is too hard for these Morons.
It looses 2 points of being too hard, 1 point for being on a PlayStation System and 1 point for being too expensive.

This is probably my favorite RPG cast in terms of visual design. I eventually came to peace with Soejima's designs for P3, but I'd much rather see some harder-edged designs like these in the next Persona game.
 
Man, I hope that rumor about remakes for PSN is true. Whatever the company, I want some more content on the PSN. I'd rather them just give me all the PS1 games that Japan gets, but this sounds really cool as well.

Unlikely, first off the game is swamped in licensing issues so if the licenses had been (By some miracle) sorted out, Microsoft would've never have cancelled it (Let alone at the last minute after all that effort went into it's development)

I don't see what the hoopla is about, even if MS is working on a next console game now. I mean really whats the problem.

We know now with alot of the best games out there they took YEARS to make.
The ones that didn't all used someone else's engine to get done in a couple years.

So Wouldn't it be pretty much a given that IF MS wants to develop their own new engine for a first party launch title game that they put the core R&D team together now? Starting to work on the core engine so the game will be ready for launch in 5 or so years?

Do peope really believe this means Xbox3 is coming out in less the 2years? Really I mean come on this gen has really just started.
 
Well I for one hope the rumor is true, but for 2010. I highly doubt it would be fall of 2009. We're in 2008, and if that was the case we'd hear much more about the next Xbox by now. Plus developers would need way more time to start making games. But fall of 2010 is alright by me. Heck that's basically 3 years from right now. Yeah, I'll be ready for something new by then. 2011 would be dragging it on for way too long for a new system. One of the three need to have something new fall of 2010.
 
Fall 2011 at the earliest for a next gen system. Obviously every company is working on stuff for the gen after this.

Michael Bay says it's a tactic on Microsoft's part to incite a stalemate between both formats in order to push downloadable HD content after they both disappear.
