I've always wondered how it slipped by the censors

Chairman Yang said:Ok, so is the combat turn-based or not? Everything else sounds good, but if they screw up the battles then this'll just be another RPG to me.

Blackace said:Yeah. I don't remember what the cap was in 2... I should fire it up again..

No level scaling
No level scaling

third person view has been reworked since the verdict was that the Oblivion version sucked balls.
Pakkidis said:Different style of gameplay and gameplay mechanics. Games like these require you to make choices throughout the game that will ultimately effect how the game will play out so if you could level up every aspect of your character it would defeat the purpose of the game. Thus why I like w-rpgs so much more.
I was getting very excited about this until I came upon this part of the article. I hate mulitple endings, because I always end up with the crap one!- 9 - 12 possible endings based on your actions in the game
Krowley said:All this stuff sounds really good. I had a fair amount of confidence that bethesda would find a good way to bring it up to date without losing all the crucial fallout stuff. This sounds like a good medium ground.

This game just sounds too good for me to get the shit ending in. I will get the best ending!
inthezone said:Will this game be open-world like Oblivion?
No, Fallout's level cap was 30. They probably just adjusted perks so the "ultimate" stuff like Sniper/Slayer comes at level 18, compared to 24 in the first 2.Clevinger said:I think Fallout 1 had a level cap of 20 or 21.
Sallokin said:- No level scaling like oblivion, you walk into a high level area, you die horribly.

Biggest concern at the moment.
Oblivion had the worst stealth ever. This needs to be addressed.
