New Final Fantasy XV cam videos - Luminous Studio tools/tech + Open world exploration

I really like the fantasy and/or the wild landscape, while I really really dislike the modern parts and the car exploration. combat seems good to watch, don't know to play

That's some great footage. I'm wondering about the car though, what if I go off-road with it and drive it into a lake or into a tree, or decide to collide head on with another vehicle? Will they bother coding physics and animations for these situations?

Transforming wheels into hovercraft, no sinking the car. Trees are all holograms. Force fields around every car, zero casualties on roads, pristine bodies forever. I should design games.

the gas station

Came to post it but happy that someone else remembered Nomura's long-promised "American-style" gas station.

The size of the world map is just astonishing. Hopefully they've included enough IN it to keep it interesting

Imagine the boss size! =D

I can't wait to see summons in action *-*

Also, just think about it, a very, very big Ultimate Weapon flying around, and you gotta fight it xD

I hate how linear this game looks..................................................................................................................................................................................

From brief glimpse of the chocobos, they seem to have heads similar to the older chocobo designs(large heads compared with their bodies). I think the chocobo designs of FFX and FFXIII focused more on having smaller heads and bulky bodies. These ones kinda look(in shape, you can see the thin necks) like a cross between classic and FFXII Chocobos.

So glad that they did a real night time, being almost pitch black. Tired of night times where you can see everything.
That area gives me Dragons Dogma vibes.

Wow, this game looks too good to be true. I always asked for an open world ff game using Amano's monster designs and it looks like it's going to be coming true. I just wish there was a playable female character in your party. Feels a bit like a sausage fest.

This is what I imagined FFX would be.

Not to be too overzealous, but I think in future series playthroughs I'll be skipping directly from FFIX to FFXV. :)

...I really don't like the effect Skyrim has had on game design. Open fields are not fun, never were. We got sick of running through them way back on Ocarina of Time.

None of the FFs were ever as expansive as FFXV.

The stuff they're doing is a far cry from a regular "world map" we got in the old games. They were shallow by comparison :P

Agreed, but Final Fantasy's use of vehicles are the perfect remedy for this.

The feeling of liberation when you get your first airship will be greater than in any previous series entry.

Its really cool to see classic FF monsters in this game. Its honestly the last game I would have thought to see them again.

Loved travelling in FF12. This looks like FF12 on crack (as far as the world and exploration). I'll love it. Don't know who this "we" you speak of might be, though.
