10 hours with little replay value is definitely short compare to other games in this genre (do I even need to give examples) are averaging 15-20 hours plus 50-100 hours replayability value

I beat the first one in about 3 days, so this game will probably be RotY 2007.Reilly said:10 hours is short?

What if they included an online-play mode and revealed it at E3? What would you say about replayability then?Oldschoolgamer said:Naww...it doesn't have more replay than Onimusha. Oni 1 maybe, but 2, 3, and Dawn of Dreams kill it in the replay department.
GoW games look really good. PS2 is kicking ass late in its lifetime. Makes me think...what will PS3 games look like at the end of its lifetime...
Wrong, these shots are pooped out of the dev kits at mega-high resolution. They may be in-game assets, but sure as hell isn't real-time in this resolution. Notice the total absense of any form of jaggies (not to mention the aspect ratio's and picture sizes, dead giveaway)?Zen said:It's realtime.

Still looks great for a Playstation 2 game and I'm sure it's fun to play.

SolidSnakex said:I'd think GoW2's replay value will be helped by them taking some things from DMC3's combat engine. You'll be able to switch weapons and magic on the fly now
Reilly said:You could switch weapons on the fly in the original.
BigBoss said:You could switch magic attacks in realtime but not the weapons.
Reilly said:You could switch weapons on the fly in the original.
Gameplay:
- Some nods to DMC3 combat: single button weapon switch mid-combo now and magic attacks designed to be usable "on the go" and mid-combo as well
- 3 tiers for new types of magic attacks - eg. wind magic tier 1 is "wind harpoons", tier 2 is a "formidable whirlwind", tier 3 is an "enormous tornado". Ice magic is mentioned as well

Reilly said:Maybe our definitions of "on the fly" are different. In God of War, to get the Artemis blade, you just had to hit L1 and R1 at the same time.

This is def. realtime, because it looks like you can see the polygon edges of the horses from different angles.....if you look carefully, you can see a small castle-like platform at the base of each horse's neck...actually, it looks like a castle in each horse's saddle
![]()
In this shot you are actually fighing on those platforms on the saddle of the horse....see his ears in the background?

And again, here you can see the side of the horse's neck in the background!!!
You're even willing to derail PS2 threads with this now? That's dedication.Drinky Crow said:is this on the revolution? gfx indicate seems so
