I think it's the setting and visuals that are selling me (respect to Avalanche artists), cause all the game features are pretty standard. Seeing strongholds grow, survival chores, all those lite RPG elements. Wondering if that's just for you to feel good about your progression or you can use that to get an advantage against some rivals.

The 3rd person car combat looks way better than RAGE. There isn't much else than showing rockets and bashing so maybe it ends up being simplistic, but seeing that you can attack random convoys in the open world Far Cry 2-style is pretty rad. The weather stuff could be awesome if it's systemic, or if it could be variable like a racing game where different levels of dust storms can be like difficulty levels. Although, I'll just take scripted missions too for the visual splendour.
