By "practical" I was referring to how likely you are to actually pull it off without messing up, since messing up in Rainbow Ride would likely lead to you dying and having to start over. Watching the video it doesn't look too bad so maybe I'll try it out. There are a few other areas in Mario 64 where I only play a certain way because I find them too easy/boring if you play them the normal way; namely, getting every star in Wet-Dry World without ever raising the water level (except at the beginning so you can unlock the cannon) and getting every star in Tick Tock Clock with time frozen.lordoftherink said:Yeah, the carpets were pretty boring.
