They also said Mako is returning, and more exploration. Bigger and better than previous entries.

Love that Prometheus/Treasure Planet-esque star map one. I had actually been hoping they'd do something like that for a while where the map engulfs the player and you can see star map 360 degrees around you. Not being on last gen consoles is going to do this game so many favors and I'm glad that the timing lined up enough for it not to be cross-gen. Mass Effect is my favorite series I can't wait ;-; (Also make a really good character creator please).

I haven't been following this too closely, have they said if this is a sequel or a prequel to the other games?

The Mass Effect series has always been good at translating 2d concept art to final 3d game assets and environments. The settings were almost always stunningly beautiful from an artistic standpoint and I doubt that will change especially now that they have more power at their disposal.

That waterfall in one of those pics above will be great to see moving while I'm running around whatever city/village that is in the final game.

THANK GOODNESS it looks like they've really gone back to the vast, uncharted worlds with the Mako. Mass Effect 1 had such a great big space feeling. Like you really got to be an astronaut.

Still not sure if I should try the trilogy for the first time now or hope for a remastered trilogy...

EA has never done a remaster. I wouldn't bet on one after all these years of their competitors releasing them.

Yep. That's one reason why this concept art makes me excited.

It's looking good.

As long as there's more exploration in the new game I'll be happy. Even if the planets were barren I had a lot of fun bouncing around in the Mako in the first game.

Someone from Bioware posted in another thread some stuff that gives us hope it might be coming one day.

I remember many months ago they tweeted they were glad to hear there was interest and they would update us if there were ever solid plans. They haven't referenced it since, as far as I know.

Point is, it isn't a zero chance, but since it is from EA, you just shouldn't bet on it happening and let it stop you from replaying the existing versions.

Looks great, especially love the floating rocks and the one with the map. Huge star maps from Knights vibe from that one.

That guy posted about it yesterday, not months ago.

The thing I'd love to hear from people is what you'd like to have in such an experience. For me (personal opinion, and based on what people have told me many times before):

- 1080p
- 60 fps
- High res textures, especially on ME1
- Some shader improvements commensurate with newer GPUs
- All the DLC
- "Seamless experience" - the adventures flow into each other without having to go back to save import, menu screens, etc.

Agree / disagree? What else?

Bear in mind this is a "wish list" at this point...

It's no confirmation, but at least there is talks about it.

Betting on late 2016.
I'm thinking after the bf4 fiasco, EA is making sure games come out perfect.
Dragon age got delayed twice.
Battlefield got delayed.
Need for speed skipped a year.

Betting battlefront comes out next fall.
mirrors edge 2 comes out March 2016 and mass effect comes out fall 2016 with battlefield 5 coming out spring 2017.

Art looks amazing. Love the Citadel looking place (although it's definitely not the Citadel). They're really hitting all the right notes so far.
