Any one remember the Showfax "Snake Eater" leak?
Spoilers about nearly every character in the game leaked like 6 months before the game came out. Including detail that were only hinted at in the final game.

It's a black and white artist rendition of a briefing. But yeah, I agree it's rather confusing, but the fact that he keeps his brown hair after the Shadow Moses incident, and that he had brown hair before in the original, that whole story about him being blond doesn't hold up.

You do understand that Snake had brown hair in Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake, don't you? And no, he doesn't "clearly" have blonde hair in the video. It's the lighting/shadowing effects that make his hair appear differently. And he never says anything about "changing his hair." He asks if he can borrow Naomi's scissors and that he wants to "clean himself up a little" as to not be mistaken as the leader of the terrorists.

Can somebody link me the 6 or 7 "leaked" MGS4 wallpapers from the konami site?

someone got them before they were taken down, but i cant find them anymore. id prefer 1600x version of them if possible. thanks
 
the fact that snakes hair was blonde during the briefing in mgs1 seems to be one of those things that is forgotten. I think he was originally supposed to have lighter hair, but for whatever reason they changed it down the line. In Twin Snakes his hair wasn't blonde, not that that really validates anything seeing as it wasn't made by konami. it would make sense for him to have blonde hair seeing as snake had the recessive genes to begin with, but then that would mean that liquid should have had darker hair OR that both were blondes while Solidus (the true superior one) had darker hair. I try not to even think about it really as, I don't think they really planned it out well from the beginning.

I think I'll watch the briefing in Twin Snakes just now... to make sure.
 
So the MGS 4 ost is released on thursday right? I mean I've liked the music that I've heard but the music doesn't seem as exciting as MGS 2/3. Maybe it's the lack of Norihiko Hibino?

It's the lack of the MGS theme in hardly any version of the trailers. It always pumps me up, but the closest we got was an acoustic guitar version in the TGS 2006 gameplay trailer.

Pretty sure it's not the MGS main theme, it sounds more like the song from the end of the MGO trailer.

It's more "movie-like". I'm definitely gonna miss Hibino's more gamey compositions. The alert and boss tracks in MGS3 were amazing.

As soon as a copy of the game hits a store, it's GAME OVER (usually 3 days before release - so around June 8th/9th).
But, on the bright side - people won't be able to pirate it (at all). :D

I'm pretty sure the street date on the 80 gig bundle is going to be pretty widely broken unless Sony decides to wait until 6/11 to get it into stores. Wal-mart employees will just think it's a regular PS3 and put it in the case.

Laurent's is definitely the best of the lot. An additional image where tha_con wouldn't be bad but it'd only look good with a kind of beveled, semi-transparent frame. Kinda "Apple-y" but less "web 2.0". If that makes any sense.

Actually it's already looking like Solidus is back. If you watch that new Theatrical trailer they released you can hear his voice. It's somewhere around 1:15 or 1:30..I can't remember.

His methods are just extremely brutal (considering what he's been through, that's to be expected.) He opposes the Patriots as he wants to be remembered, and they would have his very existence wiped from history with GW and the S3 Plan.

Plus he's a badass. Ex-Presidents + powered armour + katanas + P90s + John Cygan = awesomeness defined.

I fucking love his character :lol: My MOST FAVORITE MGS character ever, and John Cygan's voice is just BADASS!! He was such an under-developed character in MGS2 and did not have many scenes in the game, but the one that he appeared in were fucking awesome and BADASS!!!

The textures on the rock on the first screen is cringe worthy.
Then again I don't really care for details all that much. Though I wish this game was a powerhouse like 2 was on the Ps2, but it's not Kojima's fault.

...It's a fucking rock. Go outside and look at a rock in real-life. There's not much detail on it.

While MGS4 doesn't blow me away visually like MGS2 did back in the day, neither did MGS3 when I saw it in trailers/pics. But while playing MGS3, everything came together beautifully and some of the set-pieces battles later on in the game were epic. I'm expecting the same from MGS4, the Rex vs. Ray battle shown in some trailers has got me excited, I hope for tons of epic battles in 4.

It's from his MGS2's voice overs. They re-used and edited two seperate sentences together.
