This is the MGS 'main theme' for the series since the first game (though in MGS1 it was not played until a rendition of it during the credits if I recall correctly).

Hm, actually that video has the MGS3 part of the theme in the middle too.
But the beginning and end is the MGS main theme. Shiz, I hope that is in MGS4. :/

I saw the video where Kojima is looking at the Russian composer's cd, but I didn't realize it was an issue.

The Metal Gear Saga song just sounds like a new version of the MGS3 Main Theme, but without any hint of the original. That's why people are like "WTF, why?"

It's not gonna be in MGS4.

I consider the MGS2 Theme to be the best one. The MGS3 one is just the evolution of MGS2's theme, I love em both. But the Metal Gear Saga track is merely ok if it's meant as a remix - but if that's the MGS4 version of the MGS Theme, it totally failed for me.

As odd as it may sound, I've been looking forward to the MGS4 Soundtrack more than I've been looking forward to MGS4 itself. It not having the next literation of the MGS theme would be a huge disappointment to me.


EDIT: And about that Russian music crap - why do people think that it has anything to do with how the MGS music is now? Konami has already re-released MGS Soundtracks - so obviously they don't fear any copyright stuff.

Well that's what I'm hearing in the MGS4 rendition, it's just a slower more melodic rendition on guitar - which is more fitting for MGS4. I fail to see what's missing honestly.

All I'm saying is the Russian composers obviously had no effect on the theme because the part of that song can be heard in this MGS4 version of the theme

My guess is that Kojima isn't using the similar parts in MGS4 with the knowledge that it sounds so similar, but leaving the soundtracks for older games alone since what's done is done. I very much doubt it has anything to do with fearing copyright, but perhaps more out of pride for his work.

Or it has nothing tp do with it at all and we're just angry because we miss the old theme.

inferior. nothing about genes. No seriously, make his arms bigger and longer. Specifically the bicep area. The arms should reach half way down the thigh. Bottom half of the legs could be longer too, but they're not as far off
