Cygnus X-1 said:The point is that Team Ninja should have done only a 2D game, without including any First Person vision. This also worries me.

Cygnus X-1 said:WTF. How is possible to keep the effect for so long?
Bah. I could be wrong, but this 3D perspective looks so copy-paste from Retro without any major scope. A 2D would have been perfect alone, but...we'll see.

But you CAN turn. You have to hold B though, which is kinda odd._Alkaline_ said:It's not overly difficult. Just need to be precise with your thumbs because towards the end there is little room to manouevere to maintain the shinespark.
I can't let myself beat Fusion anymore without doing it.
Give it a try sometime.
I can't understand some of the concerns - my main one is that being forced into a standstill (as opposed to being able to turn) in first-person will make combat against faster enemies difficult if you're forced to go into first-person. I'm hopeful this will be balanced in the retail version.
But really, I think it's a great addition. Adds some variety to gameplay and allows you to look at the environments from another perspective and see things you normally would've missed.

This guy has a wicked harmonic vocabulary, I love how the harmony changes through out the trailer but the rhythm section and phrasing stays the same. I'm very impressed so far, I hope he delivers through out the entire game.
Giant Bomb said something that not being able to move is balanced out by it being so powerful. So I don't think there is much more they could do._Alkaline_ said:I can't understand some of the concerns - my main one is that being forced into a standstill (as opposed to being able to turn) in first-person will make combat against faster enemies difficult if you're forced to go into first-person. Why is everyone referring to the Third Person Perspective as 2D and First Person as 3D? That doesn't actually make any sense.traveler said:Between the emphasis on story, autopilot combat while in 2d perspective, finishing moves, and shifted priorities from exploration and puzzles (yes, I realize they're still there; I just doubt they will have the focus they had in the MP games. Would love to be wrong though) to fast paced combat, I think I'm going to have to sit this one out. Shame, seeing as how I absolutely loved the Prime series. I'll keep up with impressions and reviews just in case I want to give it a whirl, but each new piece of media just makes me less and less enthusiastic for the game.
