Whoa those screens look freaking nice, as for the what anime would benefit from this engine I am going with Bleach.

360 game was an adventure game first, fighting second. This is mainly a fighting game, the adventure stuff is second. It is just what they had to make the priority.

Will they make a Shippuuden game before the US gets the series? Akatsuki is a big part from the very beginning, and only adds new characters. Part1 won't need anyone but Itachi and Kisame. PEACE.

It's not gonna take that long for the US to catch up to Shippuuden.

I'm guessing though that they'll keep up with incremental Accel updates until there's enough material for a lengthy game.

wtf? haven't you played the DS games? they are fantastic. The PSP games are also decent. Also on the PS2 Bleach Blade Battlers isn't bad.
 
First Shippuden merchandise comes out in October in the US. The anime will be on part 2 in Decemeber (they've already cast Sai and Tobi lol). They will continue to do 2 episodes a week for a while which means by the time the sequel to Storm hits, Japan and America will only be at the most 2 arcs apart (manga and anime).

It's Viz medias goal to have their most popular series at the same spots in different territories. Shuesha (sp?) has agreed to this and it's is a very giant step for anime/manga fans since it's never been like this before.

So yes, Storm 2 will most likely go up to Naruto and Sasuke meeting in Part 2.

I only play the PSP games, the DS doesn't interest me and the rest suck :(

:lol Yeah right...2 years of fillers incoming. Can't wait to see Naruto fall epically in NA as Bleach surpasses it due to fillers. Bleach has always been better for the most part, in part 1 the anime and manga both were on equal grounds in terms of detail and quality(Naruto was better manga wise).

Now Bleach absolutely crushes Naruto in manga quality as Kihsimoto has decided to go with a "colouring book" style where things aren't shaded or anything. Kubo on the other hand took his original style and improved on it. Character design took a hit in the begining of part 2 though, but it's picked up.

different art styles. ubi seemed to be going for a more ... uh, realistic look (if you can call it that), versus this entirely cartoon look. if anything, this game looks just like the PS2 versions, just in high-def and must faster framerate.

the battles are completely different though, and they look so fucking awesome :)

You do realize fillers are almost over in the US right? lol

They're planning to do more "4 episode" specials. They have about 48 episodes to go. 2 a week plus a few four episode specials and they're done. On top of they, they've already scheduled to air Shippuden in December. Silly Crush.

And its too bad the Bleach characters spent all of 2007 standing in one spot fighting the same person. Yawn (but the manga is getting better). This is way off topic though. Ninja Storm and RoaN 2 will both fill different needs this fall. One adventure, one fighting. But this game really, really could have used online play. We know they can do it, they've made some of their smaller games online...

Naruto Ninja Storm 1 is from episode 1 to 130, so it goes all the way from first episode to forest of death to the Chuunin Exam to the fight with Gaara to the fight Orochimaru VS Tsunade and the fight with Sasuke.

Didn't it last for almost 2 years in japan though? That's where my interest in Naruto went downhill since I never read manga before only watched the anime's. Seems like a smart move then to start early and cut out 99% of the fillers, because they were crap.

I'm not going to spend $40 on my DS for a game, I'll probably go shopping around and find them used. The PSP games just are amazing though, graphics, sound, controls, it's great.

im not saying that i don't want the feature - i know it'd be great to finally play people other than my friends :p but i cringe at the thought of online play. its just like any other fighter, the timing just doesn't work. if you've played any of the previous ultimate ninja games, then you'd agree that its just too fast to translate properly online :|

The next dub episode is 180, and Part 1 ends with 220. That's only 20 weeks if they stick to the 2 episodes/week pace.

FUCK the anime.

FUCK the fillers.

I like being up to date with the manga, thank you.

But on the other hand, I have to give my hand to several notable episodes with wonderful action animation and direction (especially that small group of episodes from a few months back that looked like they were straight up done in a different studio, under a different director).

Oh, and I can't forget the Chuunin exam fight between Rock Lee and Gaara, I'll never forget that fight.
The moment Rock Lee's screwdriver attack thing hit impact with Gaara in tow, a fucking earthquake hit where I live :lol (I was watching this on my computer monitor). So epic :lol

whoaa that Naruto vs Shukaku fight is EPIC, my only minor nitpick is we don't get the Gamabunta Naruto combi henge scene, is it unrealistic to hope that scene to be added later?

anyway, if that fight translate that well into the game, I can't wait for Gaara Rock Lee fight, Hokage battle and Sannin battle.

I hope they don't skip all those fight just because it's not Naruto's battle

Pfft, you should play as Tsunade. Not only did she take care of Manda with Gamabun's kodachi, she also thrashed Orochimaru to within an inch of his life until he ran away.

Are you serious? Bleach was really good up till soul society. After that, it turned into crap REALLY fast, and the level where it's at now is just completely ridiculous. I mean, interrupting the story arc with another filler arc by saying "well let's just assume for a while ichigo saved orihime, we will continue after that for now, and will re-continue the story arc after that"
At first I thought it was a fucking joke, but it wasn't .

Also, the pathetic attempt at humor in Bleach is just disgusting, they should've just kept it serious. Bleach has some great ideas, great potential, but they just destroy every last bit of it with the fillers and the "humor". They should've made it Claymore style serious.

Naruto on the other hand, just had the crap fillers at the end of season 1, and then re-continues with story arc in season 2. It's much more serious, less stupid humor. Even the new fillers are enjoyable.
