New Need For Speed Hot Pursuit revealed [EA-CONF]

It's crazy how excited I am for this game. Criterion is one of my favourite developers, only they would make me excited for a NFS game!

Does this game have garbage licensed music or original music? I know this is a stupid question considering this is EA and Burnout 2 was the last racing game from Criterion to have original music.
Good question, I'd love to see some classic NFS music (NFSIV: High Stakes had some great tunes) but I fear the worst.

I really enjoyed all the stupid challenge online in Paradise. I know there wont be any in hot pursuit and I'm kinda sad about it :( I just hope online will have a great community going for long as in Paradise.

any idea if the pc-version will fully support 360 pad?

The specs for the pc version say the game is 100% compatible with 360 controller , so were good there.

I for one will be getting the pc version, 60 fps, 1080p, tons of AA and AF... and the impeding mods for the game will make it worth it over the console version for me :) Granted noone will probably play it on the pc online though :(

huzah! another one. I had BP for the PS3, so this will be on the PS3 as well.

I had it for both 360/PS3 as I was an idiot who bought everything twice back in the day:lol I platinumed the PS3 version though.

Yeah, I'll probably purchase it for the PS3.

Anyway, new gameplay,

Along with that, someone took a screenshot of one of the cars in the video, Ford Crown Victoria,

Here's a question...

In some of the previous Hot Pursuit games, you would have a radar detector (more of a proximity detector) for the police, and if you slowed down and drove properly by them you'd be okay.

Does this game have anything like that, or is it just all or nothing pursuits?

Quick question, what platform is everyone purchasing this game for?
Just like Criterion recommended PS3 for Burnout Paradise, this game will most likely be better on PS3.

I'm getting this for the PS3. Probably my most anticipated game for the rest of the year since Burnout Paradise is one of the best games I've ever played.

I don't know for sure but they haven't said anything about that which leads me to believe it's not in. Remember this isn't your father's NFS Hot Pursuit; Criterion's probably decided that radar detection stuff was lame, so they threw in some EMPs instead! Extreme!

Yeah, I fear that is going to be the case. :(

Frankly, outside of the controller setup, there was pretty much no difference between the two versions of BP, and I highly doubt this one will have that issue.

I'm really hoping they've put in match-making, if they expect me to add everyone so I can challenge them in multiplayer, then no thanks. :D
