Knowing Quantic Dream they'll probably include all that good character setup but ultimately just resort to having her fuck a dead guy.beelzebozo said:good god, what a gorgeous game.
i have a question: does the girl in the earliest trailer for this play a part in the game? that whole story she tells, and the transformation from a saccharine love story to a horrifying story of adultery and betrayal. . . well, it was just amazing, and creepy (excluding the mild bits where uncanny valley reared its head).

maybe so. still, i hope she--or something similar--makes it into the final game. it would be a shame to see all that amazing work just for a tech demo.
I think those are mannequins.Busty said:The textures on the two women in the background off the first shot are pathetic.

So much for the supposed power of the PS3 and Quantic Dream's boasts of this being visually cinematic.
Not impressed at all.
*folds arms*
Now that the bait is set. We play.... the waiting game.

But these women are mannequins
EDIT: Oh dammit! Beaten - I was looking for spell check on mannequins.
Titanic was made in 1997... Jurassic Park in 1993.mentalfloss said:Looks like 1997 era CG

The problem is both are not 100% CG movie.Marconelly said:Titanic was made in 1997... Jurassic Park in 1993. Somehow I don't think that's the effect you wanted to convey.

Bottom line is, late 90s CG and rendering techniques were pretty astounding already. I can only hope that's what he wanted to conveyiceatcs said:The problem is both are not 100% CG movie.

Hopefully the demo will be out early next year.
Actually they are stuffed humans. The killer wants them to hang around his apart a little longer, so he stuffed them. In the demo there was even a fresh victim in the bath who was being drained of blood.

did the presentation show different emotions with the woman, like fear in her face and stuff? that's what i'm most interested in at the moment, considering she has a pretty calm look on her face in most of the shots that were released
RavenFox said:WTF? Every thing went crazy what do they know put your hand in my hand baby don't ever let goo...80's movie with this song in it. Then you'll know what those are in the pic.

Hmm.. I wonder who I managed to ensnare with my patented Mannequin trap.
Vinterbird said:When she found the body in the bath it was a pretty realistic gagging emotion, trying to muster courage to continue exploring the house while being scared. And during the chase scene (if the killer finds you) there is some great facial stuff going, it made her look scared and fragile.
But they are doing a lot of neat stuff, motion capture eyes, body language and some cool facial expressions. And the eyes are by far the most impressive thing. They really need to release a narrated edition of the demo the press saw, because it had me on the edge of the seat.
