New Overwatch Hero Orisa Revealed, released on PTR

She looks so bad ass. Really good design. I love how the centaur horns almost look like pigtails.

Can't wait to play her!

The bulky body design makes me wish it was a male instead, as thats the body type I like on male characters. The loin cloth looks silly, but at least its not on the alt costumes.
Other than those two grievances, this robot thing looks ok.

She's female on purpose for the exact opposite reason

I'm watching Stylosa test her out and she looks insane. Gonna be interesting to see how she is countered.

The shield has 900 health, can be tossed pretty far, it seemingly lasts until it breaks and the ability immediately goes on cooldown (12 seconds). Wow.

I've definitely seen her face before.... Think it was when I was playing HOTS yesterday and there was a lucio on the other team, and his icon kept switching between this face and his...

Part of her kit makes me think she was designed so Sombra could have a hard counter.

Orisa is really good but right now I get the impression that she's heavily contingent on her active abilities. I thought Tracer would be good against her but the gravity pull might say otherwise.

I expected Bastion to be a hard counter to her but her gun is so good that she can theoretically tank Bastion on her own. She can drop down her projective barrier, fortify once it goes down and kill Bastion from long range while he's too busy picking down her barrier.

Can't stand her default head design but the legendary looks sick.

Jeff specifically pointed this out as a goal in the dev vid.

"We feel that humans who are horse-shaped are not well represented."

Honestly, making a quadrapedal unit one that moves really slow is strange. All of its abilities are things other units have. Imagine if they made it so you could ride it. That would have been unique.

The Carbon Fiber/Protector skins look great.

One thing I did catch recently re: player perceptions of gender ratio- a gigantic proportion of the male cast is masked or robotic, and that's something they should really try to avoid w/ future male heroes. On the flip side, they have definitely needed more variety in silhouettes on the female side, and Orisa's a great addition on that front.

Yup, they definitely wanted a Reinhardt alternative.

Even though PTR just exploded and won't start any games, she's insanely fun. Very very much so. In the vein of DVA.
Her Dynastinae skin is also the best.

Love that it is a new tank. Would have loved more if it was named Orisa and the spelling OR154.

It was quite cute and clever of Overwatch team to do that to OR15.

Her and Ana would be best friends in the first half of the Season 3/Beyblade meta.

In fact I think they still might just make for perfect synergy. If she gets ulted and places her Supercharger behind a barrier, she could mow down an entire team. This is ignoring the fact that she can pull anyone who tries to get out of dodge. At least Reinhardt has range issues while Roadhog sacrifices control if he wants crowd control damage... but Orisa? NOPE.

If youve played Armored Core youd know a quad unit is slow. Im pretty sure Orisa doesnt slide around either(in AC most if not all quadraped units slide to move faster) so it means shes top heavy in that regards.

Love the design of the new hero, and her kit looks really fun as well.

Sad to hear they're rolling back the Bastion changes though :/
