Game Freak ain't touching Jynx with a ten-foot pole. They made Smoochum, sure, but that was well over 15 years ago and they've shown no signs of wanting to poke that wound open when several other Gen I Pokemon have or will have new forms yet again outside of upsetting people who hate the recoloring for the Virtual Console release of Red/Green/Blue/TCG.

We already have the perfect Hawaiian Hula pokemon. Give Bellossom an Alolan variant with a flower crown, grass skirt and a slightly different coloration and make it grass/fairy.

Few Pokemon have grew on me like this one. Pokemon X and Y's model/animations for Bellossom completely turned my tune.
I think Bellossom is one of those pokemon that I've never seen in game (aside from maybe once during Silver?). That's strange.
They look really cool.

Goood question. I guess all the skirt+flowers would necessitate half-grass? So maybe grass/steel(she was steel before fairy typing ever turned up) or grass/fairy? (this typing seems more common so I'd be more inclined to go for grass/steel)

While I always thought bellossom was cute, she's never been all that great an actual pokemon. Grass isn't a great type to begin with but she's not got much to compete for that grass slot over her contemporaries like lilligant and co (especially due to bellossom's awful speed stat)
But at the same time Normal gives it no advantages offensively.

Normal does provide some mild advantages offensively as a second type to a Psychic. Gives you an extra set of STAB moves to hit Dark / Psychics with, it's just that there's probably better types that do that and more.
(Pixelate does also boost power 30% so even without STAB it wouldn't be terrible).
You almost certainly don't want to turn normal type moves into the same as your dual type if you're a normal/psychic though, it reduces your STAB coverage.

I'd argue normal is a great defensive type, with only Fighting for weakness.

Defensive typings (especially for 2nd types) are usually about how many resistances / immunities they give, not how many they lack; Because an immune (or 4x resist) switch in is close to free being neutral is worth comparatively less in competitive battling. This is even more true in the current environment where the very focused stats from Black / White and Mega-Evolution can result in 2-hit unresisted KOs without EV investments even to walls. This is a little less true for types otherwise weak to Ghost who benefit more strongly from the immunity.
This is less true in playing through the games though, where the normal types primary weakness is that they often have an appalling lack of non-STAB moves and that a normal attack has 2 resists and an immunity .

Have any of the revealed Alola forms so far had 2 abilities ? All the ones I know of have had one.
(Also Alola Ninetails but not Vulpix being Fairy makes me wonder if they are revising which older Pokemon are Fairy again , Ninetails itself being Fire/Fairy type wouldn't be wrong exactly).

Fire/Fairy Ninetales was on one of the leaks, so it's probably changing. Makes sense.
