Watch vrr suddenly not mattering once its on ps5. Most of the obsession is because its a point of differentiation. I have a vrr tv and just don't give a shit. Most games I care about have almost totally stable framerates.
So you want a PCInstead of VRR allow me to FORCE the games render resolution to what I want. 1800p upscaled to 4k at 50-60 fps?
NO let me pick 1620p and the fps might be 60fps locked, if not the 1440p or ANY resolution, 1080p even.
FreeSync and VRR are so good on PC because it saves you time from figuring out how to lock that framerate to 60 ideally it wouldn't be necessary on consoles (specially considering that most people still don't have VRR so devs can't purposefully let the framerate fluctuate). So you want a PC
Insomniac should do a documentary explaining how hard it was to achieve that 40fps120hz option!
Exactly. Perfectly said!FreeSync and VRR are so good on PC because it saves you time from figuring out how to lock that framerate to 60 ideally it wouldn't be necessary on consoles (specially considering that most people still don't have VRR so devs can't purposefully let the framerate fluctuate).
A developer should be able to achieve a locked framerate on fixed hardware, sadly VRR is still useful on consoles because many devs fail miserably at that.
It's VRS Tier 2 to be exact and SFS. No need to buy PS5 digital as Series S will be pushing it Hard with all the RDNA2 features.............That's after VRS, then PSVR2 will launch, and then a DLSSSS3.0 M-Powered V-TEC Type R Spec II.

don´t know why they didn´t patched SpiderMan and Miles with 40fps fidelity! They did add some extra options pretty quickly with that game. I remember there was a patch that added a 60FPs RT mode at launch. Very impressive studio IMO.
Actually most games on consoles doesn't need VRR.
Very few like Elden Ring needs.
I don't defend the lack of the feature lolhave you asked yourself, if the script was flipped, would be defending the lack of such an important feature on the xbox with such vigor?
I don't defend the lack of the feature lol
And yes I should have the same stance if PS5 had VRR... hell I have the same stance about the shit CrossPlay even today when PS games has it... it is just bad for the gamers.
