Finally bought a new PSP, but then pushed the demon onto someone else. Jesus.
Too much straight-wall.
Fallout-NL said:Yeah but, Im sorry have to say this. This is a perfect example of an o.k. engine and bad art/design direction. This world looks dead and pale. Getting a game world to look as alive as the one in the GTA series is quite an accomplishment. And these guys are obviously nowhere near that.

If I wasn't absolutely certain you were talking out of your ass (which can be fun, I'll admit), I'd have to say You were catastrophically retarded. As in someone who needs help remembering to breath.
but back on subject, I like what I'm seeing, save for the THUGROOLZ style-choice for the main character. the textures are nice, as is the universal lighting and shadow system, and the physics system should provide lots of fun. Especially the explosions. Good geometry on the cars, too (when they're flying apart, that is).

let's see

Saint's Row (here's an old pic, without the implemented AA, but it gives you a good idea of the character detail)

Methinks your memory of the PS2's glory days is a bit glossed-over. It may not be the prettiest game, but if you TRULY think the PS2 or Xbox could handle this, you're on more crack than the main character.
Seventh Son said:way to pick out a bad screenshot. How about these SA shots from xbox?

know what? I should have just said "xbox 1.5" and it would be better METHINKS.
Confidence Man said:You can post every shot ever taken, it won't change the simple truth that GTA doesn't ever, ever, come close to looking like this:

RidgeCityFM said:yes since the programmers and game designers wrote and produced that song too. blame thq for that one if anything. that video looks nice. as long as the city is a big as GTA 3 at the very least and you can truly sandbox around like in GTA i'm set.
exact same here. I dont like the missions in GTA games the most. It's more the overall fun factor of free roaming and listening to the radio.RidgeCityFM said:i dunno about you but the missions were completely secondary for me in any gta game. they got in the way if anything. the only reason i ever did missions was to open up more of the game to cause chaos on. going up on parking structures and high areas with a rocket launcher and the peds attacking codes in was more fun than any mission in the regular story.
