New Test Drive Unlimited Video....looks really nice :)

OK so its a YouTube video and the quality is not optimal

BUT

It looks really, really good, IMO

The sound effects of the 1967 Shelby GT500 are just crazy and I love how the engine sound changes when the drivers power window rolls down:

Really looking forward to this game :D

well teh demo sucked really hard i dont thnk the final version will be salvagable.

Hmm.. isn't the GT in the demo? Which would mean that's what they filmed...

Looks like fun though, since all I did when I played the demo is drive real fast all over the place weaving in and out of traffic. :lol

Looks like the demo to me.

The best thing about that game/demo was gonig off road, the grass is amazingly thick in some areas and looks lovely, plus if you can make it up a huge hill you get an amazing view.

The idea of the game is good but the demo was really disappointing. Not bad considering how poor some of the previous Test Drive(s) were but compared to some of the other racers out it just seemed crappy to me.

I really enjoyed the demo. The concept of the game is great, it looks pretty good and is already quite playable. It might not be perfect but the devs. still have a lot of time to finetune the game.

I thought the demo was average, but had potential for greatness. My main issues were with the driving, which was a bit floaty.

I'm invited on wednesday at Atari's headquarter in Lyon (France) to check the online mode against over members of the european press. I will be allowed to film but there will be an embargo until July 13.
I hope the devs took the feedback from the demo and will fix the game. I already heard that the motion blur will be optional.

Go to the ATM before you show up and see how much of the company you can buy for a 100 Euros.

I'd say 20%. Give or take 5%.
If both TDU and Alone 5 flop, I just can't see how Atari will be able to survive.

have they said anything about the road shoulders (or whatever it's called, edges of the road to either side), or know if anyone's asked/been annoyed about it? roads feel a bit too high up from the ground around. and the gravity is a bit weird, too much airtime while driving fast.

I was really impressed with the demo, sure it had a few problems with it (crashing, and a some glitchy behaviour here and there) but it was just a WIP at the time. The scope of the game is what really has me excited, being able to cruise around with friends and challenging others, MOOR (Massively Open Online Racing) is truly a great idea. :D

Exactly, car don't stick on the road as they should at high speed and the controls are too sensitive IMO. This "you tube" video kinda enhance the realism though, it looks much more plastic and unimpressive in real time. Still, the graphics and frame rate are ok, the online ideas are really cool and the cockpit view is nice. Don't **** it up Atari.

Oh and I'm curious to see the PS2 version...

I play the demo all the time. Between the time trials and the rivalry races this game is a first day purchase for me. The openess of a real live world to race in is part of the charm, along with the sense of speed and car handling in the game as well.

This doesn't seem like a very high class game, neither in terms of graphics or control. There's a ton of stuff they're attempting, which is admirable I guess.

The demo does all the same have its moments of fun when you slam into a car, causing the pursuing police car to wreck and send car parts flying.

I played a lot of this at E3... not the demo, but a dev build with everything unlocked. They knocked it out of the park in my opinion.

If you love cars, download the BBC's Top Gear, and have ever had a subscription to Road & Track, they made this game for you.

If you lust after a Prius, can't drive a stick, and never heard of Michael Schumacher then you should go back to playing Dance Dance Revolution: Mario Mix.
