Hello, just bought an ipad and am new to ios.

My question is regrading the file system. I am using a third party video editing program, but it won't allow me to go into my files to access my videos. The stuff in the photo app is available, but not my stuff is in the files app.

I've tried to grant access in the settings but the video editor program isn't allowed access to files. Is there a way around this? Or do I have to move all my videos over the the photos app?

Not sure why ios is making such a simple task so difficult.

Maybe try using a separate file system app like Google Files if you can?

Could it be the app you’re using? I’ve never had troubles accessing media from either my photos or files apps.

I've tried this. I've even tried spitting on it first but it still doesn't turn on. Fuck apple.

I doubt you can use the Files app. If your file app can’t see the video maker then I’d just use Google Drive or Drop Box. Make folders and export/import as needed. If apps can only see your Camera Roll then 9/10 you won’t be able to use Files. That’s at least from my experience.

Actually, can you choose which apps you can select from a list. Too bad I can’t see what the options are for importing.
