It's only marginally better than the ICO box art, though. They both are devoid of all substance, personality and meaningful art. On top of that, it's just a crappy in-game screenshot with text laid over the top, wtf is that about. It just plain doesn't look good.

You MUST be kidding? I hadn't gotten ICO because of the shitty boxart. I thought it was just another generic game. Eventually I started to hear so much praise over the game that 2 YEARS LATER I picked it up. This boxart looks awesome and is intriguing to someone who doesn't know what SOTC is.

Marginally better??!?!?? I can understand you prefering the one of the other, but considering the fact that ICO is one of the WORST boxart ever made there is no comparison. Either of the SotC ones looks great, and which one is better comes down to preference. There was a ton of actual screenshots from ICO that would have looked better than the Americanized boxart.

That looks fine by me, but I do like the Japanese box a little better. Although to get most Americans' attention, they should label it "FFXII playable demo" with free DQVIII disc inside.

Is NAMCO doing a layered release? I've had this game for 3 weeks! It looks and plays great on the Micro and it has an insta-save feature too. It's the perfect portable strategy game.
