New WII U Indie Game Trailers

Teslagrad looks tons better than in the first trailer back like two? years ago. That first trailer caused me to avoid any other stuff related to the game, but now that I watched the trailer, it looks quite promising.

The sad thing is this attitude is what is killing the industry. We have people ignoring indies on all platforms, and putting all their hope into repackaged manufactured hype products, and then wonder why devs are so dishonest in PR. FROM said they were treating DS2 like a AAA game, and they weren't lying. And now we need to backup our talk and support the people that are actually trying to further the medium.

An indie game is inherently more "art" than a corporate product like GTA or TLOU, which is why I think Gone Home took some GotY awards last year.

It's not the right thread to complain, but it's true that every WiiU game announced these days seems to be indie. It's the Vita of home consoles :P

Oh, in more than one regard. I do like the push these games are getting, and since so many are coming down the line, I hope for another promotion in the vein of Super Indie Connection Sale.

Interesting username.
How so?

There's a time and a place to question where are Nintendo Wii U game but this isn't the place.

This is a thread to shine the spot light on Indie games releasing on Wii U.
Maybe im overreacting but i feel a little buyers remorse; Why did i need to buy 350 euro hardware to play low cost indie games (no offense) that are (similarly) already available on other platforms. I bought this thing expecting AAA nintendo games, but even those are scarse.

I like indie games, in fact i have more faith in indie developers right now than i have on the big ol publishers (except nintendo)

im just not impressed by these indie games in particular

A few NDs ago they had an Indie reel with some sort of RTS on it. Like a REAL rts. After that it just went off the radar. Any news on that?

March of War?

Probably not coming, unfortunately. That company is in dire straits right now and has laid-off 2/3s of its workforce. Will probably go under.

Right now, i only have a Wii U and a PC. I prefer to buy it on Wii U. First, to play it on the gamepad. And second, to support the Indie games on the Wii U. And remember they are already 6 Millions Wii U out there. So, you are going to find tons of players like me. More good games, are welcome.

Well, the art style really isnt doing it any favors. I know this was "made in 48 hours" so im definitely not ditching it right away. Especially since its a game that takes the "one player on the pad others on the TV" thing seriously

ouch. Bad news. Dont remember this name, but then again it passed by the ND very quickly...

Armillo still looks as ugly and probably as janky as it did at PAX Prime last year.

Stick it to the Man looks great.

Cubemen 2 looks neat but I don't think it's my type of game.

Nihilumbra looks great.

Teslagrad in my veins plz

All of these games look interesting. As a Wii U owner, I don't care where a game comes from - if its interesting, I'll buy it. I'm glad that Indies are picking up the slack that traditional third parties are leaving behind.

Well...it seemed inevitable that someone would make that post. That said, some of these games look neat. It's nice that the Wii U is getting at least a little support.

I really like Teslagrad. It looks cool and the music grabbed my attention too.

Edit: wtf, Stick it to the Man looks AWESOME!

Teslagrad is a day one purchase. 'Nuff said.

Keeping a very close eye on Stick It To The Man and Nihilumbra, especially the former.

Cubemen 2 looks like it's got much effort poured into it, unfortunately the genre is not my cup of tea.

Armillo has potential. It looked fun to play (more than I expected after seeing the reactions in this thread) but then again I'm hearing this is an old trailer? Good, because while it's got its heart in the right place, it could use more work before I give it more serious consideration.

@Maxcriden.No, i am referring to the one that the hero is sort of like a swan.Look in the third and fourth page of the flickr set.

Looks awesome, video at the link. As of 2/14 it was actually coming out in NA...tomorrow!

I hope Nintendo announces good stuff I think tomorrow during their panel. Supporting Game Maker like Sony would give them an extra bump. Hopefully more games are announced, MS and Sony just had a load announced with hardly any for Wii U yet at the moment, hope Wii U's time to shine at GDC is coming.

It feels like the Indie scene is the ONE area Wii U is actually almost dominating in, I hope that advantage doesn't slip.

Βallpoint Universe..yes!!I had a hunch that this was the title!
Thank you Maxcriden!

Teslagrad and Stick it to the Man(Kiriku:) will be mine..:)

Teslagrad and Stick it to the Man look amazing. Nihilumbra also looks good. I'll be keeping my eye on all three.

Yeah, it's tomorrow:

Nintendo's support of indie developers continues in the Unity booth, No. 1402, during GDC week. On Thursday, March 20, from 10:45 to 11:15 a.m., Dan Adelman, manager of Business Development at Nintendo of America, will explain the step-by-step process of how to release games in the Nintendo eShop.

Goddamn Nintendo is doing great with all these indies. But they should start having more of those sales like the indie Connection sale a little while ago. They should do something similar to PS+, where they group together certain indies and then every month certain groups go on sale. There's just too many indies I want now and not enough money, but market it and I'll buy all of these. Plus Wooden Sen'sey, Shovel Knight, 1001 Spikes, all of em

Some of the indies had a sale a few weeks ago. Nintendo is leaving it up to them to decide if they want sales, or to group themselves into a larger sale initiative. I bought spin the bottle, switch force and another one I don't remember right now because I was informed that they were having a sale at the same time.

I own Nihilumbra on the PC. It's a very atmospheric and beautiful game and the control scheme is perfect for the Wii U Gamepad . I gave it an 8 out of 10 when I reviewed it (sorry, I'm not sure if I'm allowed to link my review because I think that may be considered self-advertising). I'm a little skeptical about the new multiplayer mode though because with the exception of a few parts the person on the gamepad would probably be doing most of the work while the person doing the platforming won't have much to do other than mindlessly press a few buttons.
Nintendo is apparently showing off a demo of it's Web Framework with Mario Vs Donkey Kong. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LFwU1T4id1c
Ooh... Could a new Mario Vs Donkey Kong be in the works for Wii U? I'm surprised I haven't seen any news sources mention this demo.
