Also the sky appears to still be blue.
Glad to see them double/tripling down on this type of ad. Pretty sure I'll end up buying it on ps4 and switch at this rate...

I wonder how many peeps are going to skip tgis game because of the anti-right messages?
At this point I wouldn't be surprised if they retweeted this:Now we can punch Nazism on the go. Damn I bet theyre going to advertise that thought too.So glad this is coming to Switch.
Unless you only speak the language of hyperbole, it is not.Anti right? Wait what? Is "right wing" synonym for being a nazi in usa? What is it I have missed?
Would be cool if you could unlock this guy as a playable character.

I really need to finish the first game now.
Right, but I still don't think disliking nazis a groundbreaking, controversial opinion for the vast, vast majority of people out there. Of course there are outliers and neo-nazis out there, but thankfully they're very much in the minority.
And as for the fifth point (and I guess really all the points to some extent)... yeah, that's why I said it was smart and relevant marketing. But I still don't believe finding nazism abhorrent some rare, virtuous belief worthy of exceptional standing. Despite incidents of unfortunate aberration, it's pretty normalized, as it should be.
It's like believing women should be able to vote, or some other cultural change society has come around on for the better. It's fucking obvious to the point I don't think espousing it is still worthy of note, even though there will sadly always be some against it.
But, you know, that's just my opinion. I understand why Bethesda are doing this. They're tapping into the zeitgeist, which clearly is overwhelming anti-nazi. Which is my point. The overwhelming majority of people already hold this opinion. But it makes sense as far as pushing the product. And again, it's upsetting that such statements have relevant a place in the contemporary landscape.
That's what their ideology is and was referred to as. It's a fact, not my opinion. Literally you could find this in a textbook.
Well, correct me if I'm wrong, here. I'm looking up numbers and my memory's not the best.
62 million people voted for Donald Trump. I'm in Canada, so that's what, around 1.88 times the population of my country? At that time, he already had support of David Duke and the like, and it was noted how he was suspiciously hesitant to denounce him. Not to mention that xenophobia was the basis of his platform. And Trump's Gallop approval rating is still 38% even after referring to white supremacist protesters as having "very fine people" among them.
So while the majority of people would probably agree that Nazis are bad, perhaps more on a worldwide scale, there are still an alarming amount that don't, or at least are complacent with them. Which is why there's more of a reaction seeing hardline stances against them instead of corporates beating around the bush to avoid insulting that part of their potential consumer base, which has been seen in the past.
Hahaha. It's crazy and funny that in 2017, this is considered controversive to kill nazis in a game and to make ads around it.
You know what's funnier ?
Some people who are calling it controversove might also be people complaining about "political correctness".
Well, some big name conservatives in America believe that some Nazis are very fine people.Wtf? Conservatives and Liberals in America alike hate Nazis. Only Nazis love Nazis.
Unfortunately, you have to also factor in the number of idiots who vote solely based on which party the candidate belongs to and not based on any of their actual beliefs, speeches, promises, running mates, associates, or insane rhetoric... And while that may sound like its still going to be an insignificant number, you'd be amazed how many of them exist in this country; tuning out every aspect of an election other than whose on the left, the right, and whose stealing votes from the other two in the third party slots...
Well, some big name conservatives in America believe that some Nazis are very fine people.
Certainly, there's the loyalty thing. But the point that I'm trying to make is if you're going to dismiss this stuff by saying that "Nazis = bad is obvious", you should consider whether it's obvious to the outside world or just obvious to you. Because we can see a whole bunch of people who either support these folks whether by genuine shared interest, by blind loyalty, or by apathy and inertia.

makes you think
Jesus Christ..Facebook comment from someone who, genuinely, couldn't be less stupid.
"Imagine if nazi Germany came out victorious, i wouldn't have to see any of this crappy bullshit."
What a pity this game comes out the same day as SMO, but will pick it up once I finish Odyssey.
Yeah it's a real shame. Granted, very different games, but SMO is gonna be a blockbuster.
And ever since WWII, killing Nazis is an American, nay, an international tradition. To not revel in the joys of doing so, why, what an experience to miss out on.
Amazing marketing. Is it necessary to play the first one to get what's going on in this one because this short clip just sold me on the game.

There are right, left and "center" politics pretty much everywhere, I see no reason why someone who votes for right wing politics wouldn't buy the game because of this.
There is "far right" term which is used mostly for Nazi type thing, but its not the same as being right wing.
Would be cool if you could unlock this guy as a playable character.

Its SO beautiful seeing Trump supporters saying on Twitter they're not Nazis yet feeling attacked by this ad. Way to show their true colors.
I scrolled as far down the twitter responses as I could and saw plenty of "awaiting butthurt Nazis" esque comments but no actual butthurt Nazis. I don't actually think this campaign is particularly controversial. Between today and the responses to previous ads, I haven't seen much in the way of actual controversy.
As feel good as this campaign may be, I think the biggest problematic demographic facing the American political system isn't the self identified Nazi, but those who don't recognize how current sensibilities align with fascist tendencies and don't self identify as Nazi. The criticism I see more frequently is the far right laughing at/getting angry at the left for labeling Trump and his supporters Nazis. Why would they assume this campaign is targeted at them?
Why do some people write "Nazis" and other people "Nazi's"? Any weird grammar rule I'm missing? Genuine question, I'm always looking into improving my EnglishAnybody got that GIF of BJ running through a hallway and blasting through Nazi's?

Is that the case? Is there actually anybody arguing that the marketing (this and the last one from a couple weeks ago) is wrong and/or inappropriate? Are actual skinheads even complaining?
What does this even mean? How is disparaging actual literal Hitler regime Nazis an "anti-right" message in 2017? Ridiculous notion.
Who? Where? It's late and I admittedly haven't read through the entire thread. I can't fathom anybody complaining about these ads as being "offensive to Nazis". Never mind that "modern Nazis" aren't even the same thing as real Nazis as history knows them.
