(Sub out "deathshead" for "strasse" and "ADSing" for "Aiming" / "Ironsighting" as needed)

ooo thx for this. Which page is this on again? as I am searching :D

edit: found it. Is simplzCDkeys reliable at all? This looks horribly horribly sketchy. Like Nigerian prince of cd key websites.

Technically it's a key reseller and so if at some point a duplicate key ticket is filed with Valve and you lose your game, you're without recourse as proof of purchase resides at the seller's end, but that being said the site is an off-shoot of actual UK retailer Simply Games.

Bethesda's stubborn refusal to release 60fps media for any of it's games is both mystifying and infuriating.

Sorry I'm late but thank you very much. In particular the speed and damage increase are complaints I never knew I had before you said that. I feel the need to headshot everything while staying still; I suppose that comes from MGS, and I kinda struggled with that during Borderlands. I enjoy being enlightened and sincerely appreciate the explanation.

Either way, this game looks amazing. Definitely want to see more.

I'm not familiar with all that many companies that do release 60fps trailers.

Most companies just use youtube these days, so there probably wouldn't be. If a game runs at 60fps then blimblim usually manages to dig one up somehow though - especially when it's a selling point of the game being advertised. Both Rage and Wolf have been noticable exceptions.

Trailers are completely selling me on this game. Will likely pick up over Watch Dogs next month.

...and I'm a big multiplayer guy.

I`m just not a fan of id Tech 5. This engine simply can`t output good textures uplose, but with that being said i`m still very interested in this game. Day one for me.

While I somewhat agree, the visuals are still quite nice and considering it will be 60fps across all platforms, it's a tradeoff I'm happy to make.

I trust brain_stew.

For the record that link is provided for UK users only as Simply CD Keys will always supply keys that work in the UK. In the past it has worked for US GAFers just fine but buy at your own risk. It will definitely work in the UK and come from a legitimate copy and carry all standard consumer protections for UK buyers but no guarantees are made for users outside the UK.

I'd recommend Green Man Gaming for those in the states, I know they had a 20% off code earlier in the week but I doubt know if it's still there.

Only thing that worries me about this game at the moment is that Bethesda is publishing. Going to be bug city for a while.

Bethesda is only publishing, not developing. I can't imagine how publishing can cause development bugs.
This game is developed by Machine Games, the guys who made Riddick and Darkness, I'm sure it'll be technically solid.

I mean you gotta figure there at least SOME sort of mecha nazi in there, even if it isn't the big H.
Do we know if he will be in the game?
I replayed RTCW recently and was surprised at the number of stealth segments, many of them forced (mission failed on alarm).
The thing that surprised me the most was the control scheme! (Playing on original XBOX) the standards have changed so much since then!

If the publisher doesn't pay for QA...I mean it can't be coincidence that practically every game attached to their name be it internally developed or just published is a mess.

It's pretty much confirmed the Neumond Recordings music is heard throughout the game. Although my guess is they'll most likely to be heard on radios around the maps for ambience, rather than being the actual background music. But who knows!

So guys did we decide on the OT title yet?

I'm still staning for "The Man in Castle Wolfentsein".

Dishonored was actually pretty polished on release. But that's Arkane, not Bethesda game studios.

What a fantastic trailer, well and truly hyped now. Mayhem gets all the headlines, but there's enough atmosphere on show here to suggest stealth will be great fun too. Game is really pretty to my eyes. I particularly like the game's colours, blending realism and cartoony over-saturation.

I can... not saying it will happen here. But it happened with Bethesda publishing Obsidian's Fallout New Vegas. How? Them giving them a short timeline to do the game to the point Obsidian had to shorten a lot of their plans and Obsidian having a hard time getting support using Bethesda's engine for Fallout.

No, they don't develop the game, but they do set timelines and expectations and if they are unreasonable with them and rush the developer, that could cause the developer to rush through things and not do as much quality control as they should. And large corporations can have a habit of not understanding that you have to give reasonable times if you want better quality products. All they see is the bottom line really.

It's why I'm interested now. I'm not a fan of run and gun type gameplay, but it looks like there is enough stealth and that type that I can enjoy it (I mean I can have fun running and gunning but games that are all that I tend not to enjoy near as much as I prefer to at least try to stealth my way through and resort to running and gunning when I fail ;). Or at least a game that encourages me to use tactics of some sort to get by rather than just quick shooting).

Obsidian is the butt of any other bug related joke that doesn't target Bethesda. Obsidian-Bethesda partnership was the worst possible combination in that regard :p

Ok, but still, I don't think you can argue that Bethesda (the publisher) giving them a very short timeline helped in that matter. Rushing people on unreasonable timelines can very much end up with lesser quality work.

My point really still stands, a publisher can do stuff that affects quality of game. Hell, let's look at how EA looks about releasing games with a lot of bugs? They are known for it (and yes, I know they are a publisher, that's my point). They don't care about if the developer needs to fix things, they just want the game out by a certain time. That's definitely a publisher influencing the quality.

Devs looked evasive when journalists asked them about Mecha Hittler from original Wolf 3D. They pitched this game as direct continuation from Wolf3D, but H-dog will maybe return.

Isn't deathshead over 100 years old in this one? They also have super soldiers so it shouldn't be impossible to resurrect Hitler with that kind of tech they have :P
