Thanks, Dualshockers

Looks good, but not great. Like the style and the setting. Needs a lot of texture work, and it's not actually wowing with special effects either.

Looks great. But a little question that came into my mind when I saw that street scenes:
What kind of toilets were there in Japan at that time? Because at some time in Europe, people just threw it all on the streets, doesn't look that way in the shot...

Never heard of this game, but I'd buy it. Don't care if a game doesn't look "next-gen" because it doesn't have to.

Anyway, too bad there's no western release. The setting looks awesome.

Anybody know if there's a guide for the dungeon in the Vita app? Kind of missed the point of the cards/abilities(?).

True, but the series has never been a visual standout, always just good enough. So for me this is about what I would expect. Glad to see the series is continuing on the new platforms. Will be keeping an eye on this one for sure.

Looks like I'll be making JPN playstation acc so i can buy the digital version instead of waiting for it to get here. Now if only i could understand what they were saying...........please SEGA localize it.

Something about it just looks really appealing to me.

Then again, I might just be saying that because we'll never get it. :(

Looks great.

The yakuza franchise has never realy been known for great graphics but they do put a lot of detail into the environments (for example if you enter a store it's full of different items) and do have so good facial animations, at least during cutscenes.

Damn I want this game SO badly. Come on on Sega, please.
Look I know the Yakuza franchise isn't a best seller in the west, although there is a loyal fanbase and we are waiting for Yakuza 5. And I know that deadsouls which you basically made with western audiences in mind didn't sell very well (or get good reviews) but let's be honest here, a lot of people aready had enough of Zombies and even if they are looking for a zombie shooter there are better options.

But Samurai, and katanas?.. everyone loves that. Seriously, if you are afraid people won't pick it up because they think they have to play the previous yakuza games than simply rename it for the western release. Call it "Badass Samurai: The game" and in the back cover put "Sort of like GTA, in japan, with swords" and "1080p/60fps you like that right?".

Perfect opportunity to return the series to its real name.

Every time I see a Yakuza game I think it's time to start learning Japanese, I need to do it one of these days cause it sure as hell is not getting localized.

I downloaded the ps3 demo with my Japanese account and was surprised how good it looks for last gen, really unexpected coming from the yakuza series.

I want this game so bad.

Oh, this game is about samurai? Didn't Yakuza used to be a JP GTA game? :/

Thinking about getting it on JPN PSN but we'll see. I think there's gonna be a PS4 demo sometime, so I'll check that out.
If it comes to the HK store, there may be an English localization. I know that was the case for a fair number of PS3 games, at least.
