New Zelda TP Wii Fishing Video

PS. Dear Natsume: Please make a Legend of the Fisher King for Wii.

Marvelous is giving the Wii a lot of love , doing harvest moon Wii and some other projects, so we'll probably get legend of the river king Wii as well, it's a perfect fit for the Wii.

If there was one game meant for Wii: this is it. No need for fishing pole accessory (stupid fucking things only come for right-handed use; ie right hand to reel)!

DO IT.

Wow, stunning. Fishing, believe it or not, is one of the things I'm most looking forward to trying out in TP. It seems like Nintendo did an amazing job with the fishing in this game.

AA?! are you nuts? this is a gamecube game

The lighting is a bit better, not sure what the lighting is in the GC version, but for the most part it's a GC game forced on the wii so wii will have a Zelda title, just not the right way to do a Zelda title. The aiming seems to be extremely cumbersome, and gameplay hasn't really been upgraded much from Wind Waker. I wish Nintendo would do their biggest franchise justice and give it the respect it deserves.

I'm definitely getting the cube version, but I wish we didn't have to wait for the Wii to launch in order to do so.

I hope this gets out before November. September FTW?

Am I the only one who got disturbed by the apparent Aliasing ? I hope this game gets a good portion of AA
That would make the game blurry. :\

Xdrive05 said:
The only place where the aliasing was really bad was the fishing line, esp. when it was being cast.
That would mean more loading if they did it in specific places. :\

What a stupid statement. We have barley seen anything of this game yet, and you have already said that the gameplay isn't an improvement over wind waker. please.

the fishing minigame of TP is already a big improvement over WW imo. what minigames did WW had that looked that good? I don't recall any.

Nintendo announces only the Gamecube. People bitch. "They're so stupid if they do this, why don't they move it onto the Wii!"

They announce it's going to be on the Wii and Gamecube. People bitch. "I don't wanna be playing this on my Wii with controls that don't fit the game!"

They announce that you can play the Wii version using traditional controls. People bitch. "Why did they move it onto the Wii anyways, I want an original Wii version!"

You know what, I wish they would cancel it just so you people stop bitching.

Wait.. no I don't.

:lol

Yeah, Im sure you were interested in the damn game anyway. Respect? Theyve already said its the biggest Zelda theyve ever done. What do you want them to do? Delay it another year to take full advantage of wii? From everything we've seen, it looks to be a phenomenal Zelda, probably the best yet.

P.S- I thought windwaker had fantastic gameplay- but it had other aspects which pulled the overall experience down (ie. excessive collecting, sailing, length, etc).

so like did they do anything to the wii version besides change the hud to accompany the new controller? the water looks mad nice as do some of the other effects

Riiiight - None of us have even PLAYED this game yet, man. Give it a chance, for crying out loud.

And when was the last time EAD messed up a control system?

From what I've seen so far, yes. Obviously that is subject to change.

The aiming with the arrow and the grappling hook seems to be pretty difficult.

I might just pick up the GC version at this point.

The game is pretty and all, but what happened to the "orchestral" music? :P The sound quality is the same as the N64 games. I'm disappointed Nintendo isn't even using higher quality synths, but I can't say I'm surprised...

I've never had any problems with TP being on the GC, imo it should just stay a GC-only game, give the GC a great send-off.

Actually I don't want them to move it to the wii unless it's built from the ground-up specifically for the system, which this isn't. I'm not a fan of the cross-generation approach.

Orchestrated is reserved for the Wii version only. I bet.

I've seen several vids... in some of them, aiming seems ridiculously easy, but in others, they're aiming all over the place.

I'm sure there will be a learning curve, but if there's one thing EAD rarely messes up, it's control schemes...

uhh how many times does it need to be said that the wii version support GC controlling.

probably has somehting to do that the game is built on 1.5 gig discs, and going double disc is not good for the zelda franchise since you are used to revisit everything.

Maybe we should put it in all caps and bold at the beginning of every Zelda Wii thread until launch. :lol

interesting to see that the effect on the water surface is exactly the same as in Wind Waker, the diference being that the water is clear now

well yeah, the TP engine is a modyfied WW engine so it makes sense.

So you would deprive Wii of a AAA launch title that's guaranteed to sell millions worldwide, just so that you would have a Gamecube version? (which there is anyways.) Wow I, as a gamer, am glad your opinion is not one Nintendo listened to. The shareholders would be glad, too.

This is the perfect relaxation minigame after a long day at work or bitching in Gaf (w)

Many people said the fishing in Ocarina would have stood as a game in itself, and this one is really a game initself. Amazing, especially with the Wii remote.
